Up for auction is this vintage compression type grease cup. In used condition. It still has its old fitting attached, and still contains some grease. There are no markings that I could see, so maker is unknown. It is a simple devise, that is a cup with a threaded cap. Turning the cap applies pressure to the grease, and the grease flows to its target. The cup alone measures about 1 1/4" in diameter, and is about 1 1/2" tall. They both have what I believe to be 1/8" pipe threads, and are attracted to a magnet, but each cup is a different size. They appear to be in unused condition. The third oiler is quite a bit different. It is a sliding sleeve type made by C. F. Tucker. It has a spring loaded cap designed to make it completely dust proof. It has a 1915 patent date marked on the top. I'm not sure if it has been used or not. In any case, it is in very nice condition, complete with a strong spring. Up for auction is this vintage Alemite Automatic Cup lubricator. Made by Stewart Warner Corp. in the U.S.A. As the pictures should show, it is a spring loaded, compression type lubricating device. While the outside is weathered and used looking, the internals might say differently. The gasket and the rubber on the plunger are still soft and pliable, and there are no real signs of staining or corrosion. Regardless, it is being listed as used. This oiler was made in Detroit, Michigan by the Michigan Lubricators Co. The glass cylinder is in good condition except for a chip off the top edge. SMALL DRIP OILER- PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE PHOTOS- Vintage brass oiler in fair to good used condition. Overall height is approximately 4 1/8 inches. An unusual drip tube extends 3 1/4 inches from the side of the bottom fitting. No maker's markings. The spring-loaded fill-hole cover is marked: PATD 3.30.15. Used condition. Fairly clean. Chrome plating is worn and the brass is showing through in places(see photos below) Plating on the top and bottom reservoir caps is scuffed and scratched all-over. The small bottom sight glass tube rattles around. Probably because there is no cork gasket. No evidence that there ever was a gasket in the small lower chamber. Large gaskets are present in the reservior, though old and oil-soaked. Everything turns freely. Should be ready to use. Unusual! This is a pretty nice original Michigan oiler for a hit and miss gas engine. It has a vent tube which means it was meant for the cylinder of an engine. It measures about 1 7/8 inches in diameter and 4 7/8 inches tall overall. It has 1/4 inch pipe threads and they are in great shape. It has the original fill plug which are usually gone. It has very minor wrench marks on the hex and it may need new gaskets and a bottom glass but these are available quite inexpensively from several of the hobby suppliers. That's the fun part. Anyway. This is a matching pair of Essex#7 oilers for hit and miss engines or other machinery. They are both in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks or repairs of any kind. The finial nuts are different but could easily be made the same. These are marked Essex on the tops. They are large oilers and measure about 11 1/2 inches tall overall! They take#7(4 1/4 x 5) which are available from the hobby suppliers. Both of the bottom glasses are good. They have 1/8 inch female threads in the bottoms which could be bushed up to whatever size you need. The one has the original filler plug and one is missing. This is a pretty nice group of 3 rod type oilers for connecting rods of hit and miss or steam engines or other similar applications. These do not have oil holes at the bottom of main stems but instead need oil thrown out the holes half way up or on top of the stems. They are in excellent condition with no cracks. Breaks, or repairs of any kind. The smaller ones are marked VICTOR Lubricator, and the larger one is unmarked. The smaller ones measure about 1 5/8 x 3 3/8 tall with 1/8 inch pipe threads. The larger one measures about 2 1/8 x 3 1/4 tall with 3/8 inch pipe threads. All of the glasses are good. They may need new gaskets but otherwise are ready to go to work. The pictures tell the story. It has most of its nickel plating on it yet. It has 1/4 inch pipe threads and they are in great shape.
