Has very little wear on the face of the meter itself(see photos) The only wear is on the outside of the storage case it comes in, and that's really only cosmetic wear from being slid around on a shelf for a few years. This meter still works great, installed a fresh 9v battery and it tests good. The circuit board is clean, no rust, no leaky batteries- very well maintained. Auction find. Appears to be in excellent shape. See photos for condition. The latch works well and is tight. I don't know anything about this but it appears to be in very good condition for it's age. The outside is a bit dirty with very few light rubs or scratches and nothing major at all. The inside is pretty clean. I've tried to take photos from different angles of everything with and without a flash to help you determine it's condition. The serial# is 207 and it is stamped Dec 22 1954 on the bottom. It comes with the instruction booklet as shown and that little thing with the wire coming out of it(see pics for both) I have absolutely no way to test this.I don't even know what it is or does. But whatever it is it doesn't appear to be damaged in any way.
