20K 100kN Instron 1125 Tensile Compression Tester w/ Controller For sale is this used 20K 100kN Instron 1125 Tensile Compression Tester w/ Controller. These pieces of equipment is used. But still appears to be in fair physical condition. Included in this sale are the main tensile/compression tester and the controller cabinet. The controller cabinet seem to be in pretty good physical condition overall. The tester unit is in a bit more worn condition and it has had the orange box on the bottom unbolted, though it is still attached by wires. See photos below for more details on physical condition. We connected the controller to the tester unit to try and test it out. We powered up the controlling cabinet and it all powered on. We tried to operate the tester with it. But it seemed that the motor just kind of moved back and forth rather than moving ... moreproperly in a single direction. I'm not sure why it was not operating properly at this point. We then hooked the motor up directly to a 12V motor and also directly wired up the clutches in the bottom. With this testing we were able to get the tester to move up and down properly. We are not sure why the tester was not operating properly when hooked up to the controlling cabinet. We never tested the tester under a load. The tester will be sold as-is beyond our basic testing.
