You are buying a Lot of 9 Elenco 1% x 1 Watt Resistor Substitution Boxes- need work Some of these are labeled"broken" and measure a small resistance when all the switches are turned off. Or don't measure anything. Some of them have a base resistance, and then the switches add and subtract like they should, they just aren't zeroed out. Great for a project or class to repair. You can see from the inside pictures that these are pretty simple. And most probably just need a new switch or a new resistor somewhere. These would be great for a maker space or electronics class. Or giving your kids a chance to troubleshoot a basic circuit. Plus, when you are done, you have a resistor substitution box worth over $40! You will never see a lot like this again. Needless to say. Vintage EICO Resistance Decade Substitution BOX This is a really nice vintage EICO model 1171 resistance decade substitution box. It has a range from 0 to 99.999 Ohms. I hooked it up to my DMM and ran through the settings on the switches and they all seem to be reading reasonable close. Case is a heavy duty metal with a nice grey crinkle paint job(factory original) This came from my father's workshop/lab. He had tons of electrical equipment and TV repair stuff that I will be listing soon. Ready to go to work in your shop or a cool display piece. All are in excellent condition. Original Bakelite cases are uncracked/undamaged. Model IN-3137 and IN-3147. Assembly was completed in January. 1978. Measure 6" X 3" X 2 14" I have used these lightly on and off over the years and the lsat time was probably 10 years ago, when they tested perfectly. Have not used them since and have no use for them anymore. Better to have good originals rather than cheap Chinese reproduction junk. Excellent period survivors.
