I bought this item about 1 year ago. Never used it and it has been stored in a temperature controlled(my home) environment the whole time. I bought it to test coins and it is the wrong product for that application. The set did not include any probes when I bought it and it still does not. I paid $1.850 when I bought it. All items look good. I put a set of alkaline"C" batteries into it for the first time about a week ago and it turned right on. I cannot find the original listing anymore on EBay but I believe the seller indicated that he had tested it for accuracy and found it to be in good working order. Having never used it.
