This auction is for a trinocular stereo microscope Nikon SMZ-10 As it can be seen in the images. The microscope body shows minor signs of use. Overall, the metal part is in good condition for its age. The only thing, at the base of the trinocular head there is a small indentation that I have tried to show in one of the pictures. This dent however, does no affect the general use of the microscope. The zoom(0.66x to 4x) is smooth. If you fit the microscope with a pair of 10x eyepieces you can reach magnifications from 6.6 to 40 times. Lenses show some fungus within the head and the body(as I tried to show in the images) but it is something that I think it could be removed with a professional cleaning(but. Please, bear in mind that I am not an expert) Overall. Fungus do not affect the view inside the microscope once it is fitted with eyepieces. ... morePlease. Nikon SMZ Quality Microscope System This Nikon SMZ microscope is an old school high quality zoom stereo body microscope that provides beautiful images. The microscope is in used condition. It was tested and the zoom is not turning and the adjustable stand is only going about half way up and down. I do not want to do something wrong so I will leave the repair up to the new owner. The scope has good clear optics and it provides a nice parfocal, aligned and focused image. There are cosmetic signs of wear on the microscope body from use(see images) but essentially clean. The last 2 photos were taken with my phones camera looking thru the microscope to show you the clarity. The microscope is mounted to a nikon adjustable stand that operates about half way.
