A nice piece of Americana with some enhancements. This one includes a phase contrast kit(early model) with PH sliders for 10x. 21x and 97x oil. The 43x PH slider is missing. It does include a factory case and centering key. The system is pretty dirty and needs some lube on the focus R&P. Optics include an Abbe 1.25 BF condenser, the phase condenser with inserts as noted and B&L phase contrast objectives 10x and 43x. Also includes a normal 10x achromat, 43x achromat and 97x oil.all non-phase. Oculars 10xWF and 7.5x. A nice wooden carrying case with lock and handle is included. The Zeiss"pumpkin" lamp is mounted on a support stand and includes the Zeiss filter holder.accepts 32mm diameter filters. A blue filter is included along with the collector lens and diffusor inside. It is monocular but all you need is a suitable DSLR coupler to fit RMS tube ports and you then can use"live view" to focus and compose on your computer. Shoot stills or HD video with your DSLR. This is a perfect hobby/project scope for parent/child or home school environments. Nikon Labophot Phase Contrast Microscope 1000x Nikon binocular microscope. There are 5 objectives. One, 4x bright-field lens, and four phase contrast lenses. Magnifications on the phase contrast lenses are 10, 20, 40, and 100x. The 10, 20, and 40x lenses are plan. The 100x is an oil immersion lens. The objectives are free of defects. The 10x widefield oculars have intact coatings and show no evidence of delamination. The phase contrast condenser is in beautiful condition with an adjustable iris, anuli#s 1, 2, 3, 4, and a darkfield stop(which is a lot of fun especially when viewing small water-borne organisms. The stage works perfectly in regards to X/Y travel. Both coarse and fine focus adjustments on the microscope frame are in working order. There is one point of minor damage, the the stage travel marker is missing. This is in no way related ... moreto the stage's mechanical function, is rather a cosmetic annoyance.
