A fantastic American Optics Stereo(Dissecting) Microscope Model 569. The optics on this microscope are in excellent condition. The gears on the stand work beautifully as does the zoom from 0.7 to 3.0x. The base plate is not original and custom built from a sturdy 3-ply Norplex bright white plastic. It works better than the original. The frame is also in excellent condition albeit for a few scratches and dings that stem from years of loving use. The stand is missing the screw that keeps the microscope secure to the stand but that can be remedied with a simple screw. I have used this micr oscop e for years but just have no use for it anymore. Zoom range is 7X to 30X, infinitely variable, with the included AO#145 WF10X/20 diameter eyepieces. The interocular distance is adjustable, and there are dual diopter adjustments. The gears in the focusing mount are in fine shape, and the boomstand has a wrist articulation. The MICROLITE fiber optic ringlight illuminator is a 150 watt fan-cooled unit with infinitely variable output. This instrument has been cleaned and lubricated. And all optics cleaned and aligned. It is in fine working condition and produces excellent images at all magnifications, and the boom arm can be adjusted to provide any extension or position desired.
