This is a very nice Bausch& Lomb Stereo Zoom 4 Microscope from an estate in Green Valley. AZ. The previous owner was a machinist and probably used this for parts inspection. The phenolic base measures 12" x 15 3/4" x 5/8" The stereoscope head is mounted on an excellent stand that features nearly full articulation and a quick release lever that allows the scope to be lowered or raised without the use of the knobs. The light source is a fluorescent circline bulb that plugs into its power supply(Aristo) This bulb arrangement is removeable by unscrewing a retaining ring. I've tested the unit and it gives a brilliant view that's adjustable from 7x to 30x(10X oculars x.7X-3.0X) Maximum height clearance is 8" Satisfaction guaranteed. It works essentially as intended, with good aligned optics. There are cosmetic signs of wear on the scope. The scope is clean but yellowed as most GZ4's from this period. I think they used a chemical additive in the plastic for flame retardation that tended to yellow over time with UV exposure. Just look at the images, and judge for yourself. All components function essentially as intended. This nice Leica GZ4 microscope has a zoom range of 0.7x- 3.0x and comes with a quality set of used 10X WF eyepieces giving 30X total magnification. A Focusing E-Arm Pod Holder, and a pair of WF10X/23 Eyepieces, as shown. The microscope head looks to be in good cosmetic condition, showing some minor signs of wear. I examined some items under it, and the images were sharp and clear, and the zoom mechanics seem to work fine. The booms stand is a little crusty in places, and the chrome is chipping off in other places. I plugged the light source in, but I could not get it to power up.
