This microscope is in good working condition with some light scuffs and scratches on the case. The scope works great and we were able to use it effectively. The left coarse stage lift knob on is missing the set screw. The fine knob works and the the right coarse is working. I guess the previous owners removed the set screw for some reason. The objectives are motorized for easy rotation via controls on the side. There is some kind of iris control as well. The light is built into the back and there is a camera mounted on the top but I don't have anything that will interface with it, so I can't really test it's function. Immaculate Trinocular Leica DMLB Microscope with 5 Leica Objectives
This is a superb Leica DMLB microscope with a trinocular head 551505. The high eyepoint eyepieces are HC Plan s 10x/22 No. 507806. Which can focussed and moved to accommodate the viewer's intra ocular distance. The camera port has an adapter HC L3TP and a x1 C-mount adapter 541510. There is a Sony video camera DFW-X700 which has no cable, so I can't be sure it works, although I have no reason to believe it doesn't. Below the head is a slot for an analyser or filter. There is a six place turret for objectives, with five Leica objectives all of which are in excellent condition. They are a x2.5 N Plan, a x5 HC Pl Fluotar, a x10 PL Fluotar, a x20 Pl Fluotar and a x40 PL Fluotar. There is a 45 degree compensator slot above the objective turret, which is permanently fixed to the microscope. The stage has a clip for holding slides and ... morewith its drop down controls moves freely, but without any play. A bit too freely for my liking! A thumb screw at the front enables the stage to be removed or to rotate. The condenser, 501183 has a slide in top lens of 0.9 na for x10 or more work and when slid out of the light path is suitable for work with lower power objectives. The condenser can be centered, using the two thumb screws at approximately 45 degrees to the microscope at the front of the condenser. There is a built-in substage iris diaphragm. The transmitted illumination from the 12 Volt. 30 watt lamphouse emerged from the lens below the stage, where filters can be used. The microscope can be run on 115 to 230 Voltage mains supply. The light is controlled be a switch on the rear left of the microscope and by a rheostat at the bottom left. Above that wheel is another, which is the field iris control. The focussing is smooth and without any play, the course focussing being rather heavier than the fine. This unit is in good cosmetic condition but I was not able to test it due to lack of power supply. Unit is from a university surplus. I used a 9 and a 12 colt dc power supply to test it but nothing comes on and i dont know what voltage of power supply it takes. The lamp comes with the unit bu it has a totally different power source. it has a lumina scanning system and nikon dx-d82 35mm camera. No cosmetic issue other than regular wears. no cracks or or gross mark. Once again i tried to power this up with 2 DC power supplies and i got nothing. This is an Olympus BHTU microscope in very good shape. The body of this microscope shows some minor signs of wear such as scuff marks. But overall is pretty decent. This microscope has been thoroughly checked out and everything works as it is supposed to. This microscope has been cleaned and optics are defect free. The mechanical assemblies have been dis assembled, cleaned, and re lubed with Olympus factory grease. The objectives are all Olympus, 4x D Plan, 10x D Plan, 40x D Plan, and 100x D Plan oil immersion.
