This was my personal inspection microscope. The unit has been well-maintained and I have just replaced the(2) Halogen Bulbs/Lam ps and the Cooling Fan for you. Th is unit comes with the TWO LENSES; the Mantis 6 x lens and the Mantis 2 x lens. Additionally. The unit is mounted on a custom WOOD and BLACK FORMICA base. The base measures 26" long x 16" wide. The base allows EAS Y and EFFORTLESS relocation of the microscope. The mounting fixture can also be removed from the base via 3 machine screws with an Allen wrench. The base has 4 quality ru bber feet. Overall. This unit is in great condition and is an excellent buy for anyone in the market for an inspection stereo microscope. The unit will be QUALITY PACKED and INSURED so it arrives to you safe. A dded: 04/29/2013 I added some photos looking through the 6X and 2X lens. I call this an"Inspection" microscope because it is designed to be positioned over some sort of work surface to inspect something rather than having a stage like an ordinary microscope. I do not know if that is the correct term. It has a 10x eyepiece and an objective lens that says"32mm 0.10" It is in focus when the objective is about 1 1/2 inches above the object being viewed. This is just the distance that the microscope is set at when the bottom of the flexable mount is flush with the surface being viewed. as you can see in the next to last picture. The barrel has an extra long extension to allow focusing over a wide range. The pivot arms allow the scope to be positioned up to 9 1/2 inches from the mounting point. It is designed to be mounted on a cylindrical post with a diameter of about 12mm or 1/2 inch. There is ... morea small bulb/light source mounted on the scope. I have not tried to see if it works. The left coarse stage lift knob on is missing the set screw. The fine knob works and the the right coarse is working. I guess the previous owners removed the set screw for some reason. The objectives are motorized for easy rotation via controls on the side. There is some kind of iris control as well. The light is built into the back and there is a camera mounted on the top but I don't have anything that will interface with it, so I can't really test it's function.
