Both of which are focused at the same point on the sample. This particular example is one of the more elaborate configurations B&L offered in the 1960's. Three objective pairs can be quickly interchanged- all are attached to a common slide. The objectives included with this instrument include a 0.66x. A 2x, and a 6x. The oculars are a pair of wide-field 15x. The stand includes a separable base that is used for transmitted light applications. The mirror fork and mirror are present. But the mirror pretty dirty, I did not know if it was coated and did not want to risk cleaning it wrong. Also lacking is the glass stage plate but the chrome-plated ledge that would have held it in place is there. This would be a very easy thing to fabricate. When transmitted light is not needed. The bottom assembly may be removed Do this by releasing a knurled screw on the back of the focus drive housing. In addition to the rack& pinion focus drive there is a second dovetail which may be extended for very large samples- the handle for securing it is visible beneath the microscope arm. The microscope is in good condition. All parts could use a good cleaning and lubrication. And the alignment should be checked. Only what is pictured is what is included. If you look with only one eye, and then then other eye, you will notice that the image is in a slightly different position. So I am selling it"as is" for parts or repair. The optics seem okay, except for the misalignment. I had used the microscope several times before I became aware of the misalignment. Includes the 2 B&L 10x wide field eyepieces. The 1.0x to 7.0x variable power pod, stand, and a flat steel plate. There is no light. The plate does not appear to be part of the original microscope. The plate just rests on the base and is not attached. It could be mounted if someone drilled holes through it.

The phenolic base measures 12" x 15 3/4" x 5/8" The stereoscope head is mounted on an excellent stand that features nearly full articulation and a quick release lever that allows the scope to be lowered or raised without the use of the knobs. Bausch & Lomb Stereo Microscope Model Number 312501-116
This is the microscope only! Approximate dimensions are 5" length. 5" wide& 11" high. I received this microscope from a friend to help with homeschooling my children. We no longer need it. There is a number(312501-116) stamped under the base into the casting& is possibly the model number. It is the only part/model number on the entire microscope(that I can see) The stage has a few minor scratches but they do not interfere with viewing or performance(see picture of stage& picture of label on back) There are no other markings to indicate the optical power. Etc. It operates smoothly& focuses fine. It focuses by the knob on the side which moves the stage up& down. The stage raises& lowers fine& the left optical slides fine as well. The right optical is stationary& is not made to move. It could use ... morea little cleaning. It is in a smoke free home. For those unfamiliar with stereo microscopes they offer a depth perception a compound microscope cannot deliver& a dimensional view of your specimen. The dimensional view helps to get a realistic view of your specimen. Bausch& Lomb is no longer making these. However. Due to their quality they are still widely used today in many industries, labs& hospitals. In my opinion, 1) they are great for young learners or those just starting with microscopes because there is no slide damage or breakage caused by the microscope& lens being zoomed in too close, 2) cleaning is easier, 3) there are no bulbs to change, 4) there are no power cords or batteries. This microscope doesn't require batteries or power to work& it doesn't require a light source due to it using the light in the room. Bausch & Lomb Stereo Microscope w 2 Objectives & 10X WF Eyepieces in Wood Case
Up for sale is my Bausch& Lomb Stereo Microscope. With 2 Objectives on a turret mount and binocular style 10X WF Eyepieces in the original Wood Case. I tested it out by focussing on my fingertip. Using the lower magnification objective. Once I had the skin in focus, I rotated the higher mag objective into play and was treated to an extreme close-up. You'll be pleased to hear that I didn't observe any cause for concern- though I'm not a Dermatologist, of course. Functionally. It appears to work fine- the eyepieces rotate as they should, the head moves up and down and I was easily able to focus. The only fly in the ointment is that I couldn't get that single knob on the main column(a locking knob? to rotate. Perhaps some WD40 might help? Cosmetically. It's pretty clean- the photos make it look worse than it is, though ... morea good clean and a polish never hurts. One of the eyepieces has a small ding to the outer tube, but it doesn't impinge upon the inner tube and is just cosmetic. The wooden case is original. But a little the worse for wear, as the pictures show. The lock has been broken and would need to be replaces and there's a small piece of wood missing on the bottom front lip, cracks etc. This model B&L is very hard to find- while the 3 objective sliding and single objective models are common. The 2 objective turret version is very rarely seen. Don't miss out!

Up for auction is this used Bausch& Lomb stereo microscope. Has adjustable head with 2 original 10x eyepieces. Focus and fine focus works good but is hard to turn. Variable light works great as does the iris diaphragm condenser underneath the stage. Stage has a great working cross slide. Comes with 4 original objectives- 4x/0.10, 10x/0.25, 40x/0.65, OIL 100x/1.25. Unit has some small tape residue spots and writing on the back on the microscope but overall a clean unit. Viewing is clear from hazing and scratches. I will charge extra to ship this to a PO box. Thanks for looking.
