OLYMPUS BH BHC Binocular Microscope with Case
Selling a Olympus BH BHC binocular microscope need new fuse. Very nice microscope in need of some love. Our testing showed it for sure needs a new fuse. We didn't have the right fuse. But with a lower rated fuse were able to get the microscope to power up. Without the proper fuse we were unable to properly test the light, but it may need a new bulb(which can be found on ebay for around $20) We were able to test the 10x objective with ambient lighting and it was very sharp, the 40x and 100x objectives have not been tested. This would be a great microscope to refurbish at a substantial savings. The objectives alone are worth the asking price of the microscope. Thanks for looking!

This microscope has sat unused for probably 15 years or more and is in need of servicing to be fully functional again. The lubricant on the moving parts has hardened and the scope does not move freely; it takes a fair amount of effort. The scope doesn’t have objectives or eye pieces. It is relatively clean but will need to be serviced before they are fully functional. There is a phase contrast condenser below the stage. I do not have the light source for the scope. This is an Olympus BHTU microscope in very good shape. The body of this microscope shows some minor signs of wear such as scuff marks. But overall is pretty decent. This microscope has been thoroughly checked out and everything works as it is supposed to. This microscope has been cleaned and optics are defect free. The mechanical assemblies have been dis assembled, cleaned, and re lubed with Olympus factory grease. The objectives are all Olympus, 4x D Plan, 10x D Plan, 40x D Plan, and 100x D Plan oil immersion. The frontplate of the lamp house and the rack of the condenser holder were originally made from plastic. These parts were precisely re-manufactured from eloxed aluminium and chromium-plated brass by an fine-mechanic expert. These materials are technically much more trustable.
