You are bidding on a used Unitron Bi-4682 microscope. I know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about microscopes. Especially the one that you see listed here. I therefore cannot attest to its' functionality or anything of the like. I won this in an auction with a bunch of other things, but have no idea what it is. Based on other auctions, I'm going to assume that this unit attaches to a base, but again I have no idea. Vintage Unitron Phase Microscope in Original Box With Manual Accessories #105118
This is a great Unitron Phase microscope. Number 105118, complete it it's original wood case! There are several lenses; a Phase DM 10, Phase DM 20, Unitron 4, Swift Zoom(10X up to 20X) and a Unitron WF 10X. The first three have cases in a holder for them, they are attached to the microscope, the other two are in the fitted wood slots with the top cover to the microscope. There is also a Unitron LLV attachment and the original instruction book dated 1963. Excellent condition, needs a light dusting. Nothing is loose, broken or damaged, and it does screw into the box to keep it safe. A great piece! All photos have been taken in bright light and with macro. You will see specks of dust that may look like a flaw, if you have a question about any of the photos, please ask! It's a high quality trinocular microscope with an extended working distance of 158 mm that is in good condition and it works essentially as intended. With good clean aligned optics. There is an adjustable jib on the course dovetail motion, and a clamp screw to regulate tension. There is no wear in the ways- the carrier is rock solid. There is also a fine adjustment that operates on the forward half of the carrier. It too is completely free of play. The instrument has positions(and built-in supplies) for four different illuminators. There is a of external incident light'spot' lamps located on side of the objective. These are fully adjustable in the plane of the optic axis via a slotted bracket. The incident illuminator may be entirely removed by releasing a couple of clamp screws.
