I took the objectives out and examined them. They are clean(no fungus. Haze, scratches- except for the scratched"40" already noted) I also took the eyepieces out and examined them. They are also clean. I looked down into the prism. What I was able to see looked clean with no fungus, haze or corrosion of the prism silvering. The light condensing lens is clean too. The light aperture works fine. But does have some oil on it. Could be cleaned if it concerns you as the aperture blades are very exposed. All the mechanical movements are smooth and work properly.
