The stage works perfectly in regards to X/Y travel. Both coarse and fine focus adjustments on the microscope frame are in working order. There is one point of minor damage, the the stage travel marker is missing. This is in no way related to the stage's mechanical function, is rather a cosmetic annoyance. Nikon Labophot- 2 With Phase Contrast and Darkfield. The microscope is in good used condition with not optical of mechanical issues. Coarse and fine focus is working. X, Y stage is working find. The interpupillary and diopter adjustments on the binocular are free and smooth. The ocular glass is clear, and clean. Regarding objective lenses, there are two E-plans one 4x, and one 100x, oil. The phase contrast lenses are 10 phase 1, DL, 20 phase 1, DL, and 40 phase 3, DL. All objective glass is great and the resolution on the 100x E-plan is outstanding-no issues with the oil immersion lens. The phase contrast condenser numeric aperature is 1.25. There are phase annuli at stop 1, 2, 3, and 4, along with dark-field. The scope mounted and condenser iris diaphragms are working fine. The source is working. I cannot test it unfortunately because I don't have the light source but everything seems to be operational and light travels through the tunnel if I put a flashlight in the rear part. I am not sure what plugs into the top tube either. I checked the lenses and here are some details about the optical part. 4X lens optics are clean. One medium dust inside. 10X lens optics are very clean and no dust inside. 40X optics show multiple coating marks on front element and has several large dark dusts inside.
