Item Description In Brief A used vintage circa 1950’s German made student microscope in good condition. The mechanics and optics work. An illustrated guide to using microscopes and a basic kit with dust cover. 8 prepared and 6 blank slides in a box is included. Some History Graf Apsco was based in Chicago and sold a lot of German made microscopes to US schools about 60 years ago. The microscope you are buying is a basic student microscope. With a well-designed stand that was built like a tank and still works perfectly. The base is marked“KREMP Wetzlar” a maker of precision mechanical products that still exists in Wetzlar, Germany today) To me the optics seem mediocre- see the unretouched microphotos above which are taken with this microscope.
