Deployed military clinical laboratory field use, in the 1970s with the limited production ending toward the end of that decade. The serial number of the microscope listed here suggests it was built c. 1974. This is one of those rare Chinese products not designed for inexpensive export. It was designed for. Perhaps the most powerful component of Chinese society, the Chinese Army and thus designed and built to an unusually high standard.
