There are some signs of wear from use and age. However for the age I would say that it's in exceptional condition. The gears on the stand work beautifully as does the zoom from 0.7 to 3.0x. The base plate is not original and custom built from a sturdy 3-ply Norplex bright white plastic. It works better than the original. The frame is also in excellent condition albeit for a few scratches and dings that stem from years of loving use. The stand is missing the screw that keeps the microscope secure to the stand but that can be remedied with a simple screw. I have used this micr oscop e for years but just have no use for it anymore.
