It is quite clean aside from some very light dust from storage. The optics are clean and free of chips/nicks/scratches/fungus. NOTE: If you only want the scope and want to save significantly on shipping. We can remove the scope from the table and/or base plate and ship you just the microscope Notes: The view through this scope is bright and clear. All the motors for the objective turret and the field and aperture diaphragms work properly. Without the controller we could not test the stage but all three axes turn easily by hand. The video ... moresetup works as well. And we found the automatic exposure control quite useful. The air table has a slight leak in one regulator but all three zones control normally. The 5th photo shows a few images taken through this scope and shown on the monitor. they do no justice to the view, but they illustrate that it works. Please NOTE: the coarse focus is tight, but the fine focus is so loose that it slips down by itself. We are not able to adjust this. An Olympus Microscope U-DICTH Slider: This is the equivalent slider as the current BX UIS2 listed U-DICTHR slider. It has a high resolution DIC prism which has a much smaller shear angle and so produces higher resolution DIC images- it comes into its own(over the standard U-DICT prism slider) when using higher magnification objectives such as x40. X60 and x100 where you need to get the highest resolution images. Perfect condition. Very nice Leica inverted high n.a. DIC microscope set. It is complete with the universal condenser containing three DIC prisms. DIC prism turret for the objective side containing three DIC prisms(B, C, and D. the D is not labeled on the prism but it works with objectives labeled"D" polarizer/lambda plate, and DIC analyzer. The objective turret filter holder is an exact fit for other Leica models including some upright microscopes. However I'm not sure about how the condenser will fit the upright microscope, but all the prisms with work with both upright and inverted microscopes. This set will work with most of the current Leica objectives and cost close to $10,000. all parts/optics are in good condition, no delamination. Reichert Diastar 420 DIC Nomarski Microscope Fluorescence 4x 10x 20x 40x 100x
Microscope works great. It appears to have seen very little use. All functions have been tested thoroughly. The only issue is that the 100w HBO fluorescence bulb is not firing. It flickers but does not ignite. I've ordered a new bulb and will include that in this auction. 1.4 NA DIC condenser with polarizer slider. 10x, 20x, 40x, 100x DIC prisms, and BF positions. Adjustable combining DIC prism and analyzer. 4x, 10x, 20x, 40x, 100x Reichert Plan Achro objectives included. I have tried multiple objectives on this microscope. Zeiss 160mm Apo and Planapo 25x, 40x and 100x work well with the DIC prisms. I also had good success with the Olympus LUCPlanFL 20x and Nikon Planapo 60x with 100x DIC prism. Nikon Planapo 10x, 20x, 40x objectives do not work well with these DIC prisms in my experience. BF/DF slider works smoothly. Polarizer and analyzer intact. Rear filter wheel intact with all filters and functioning properly. DIC prisms intact. Field diaphram adjustment knob is very difficult to move in and out. Since this is a functional issue I must sell for parts. Aside from this it works great. ZEISS aus JENA METAVAL DIC/NIC/INKO INTERFERENCE CONTRAST MICROSCOPE
Used Carl Zeiss Jena Metaval inverted material testing microscope. It has two reflector boxes: one for transmitted and reflected light brightfield/ polarisation and another one which contains the two adjustable prisms for gray and colour Nomarski differential interference contrast for reflected light. It has a 90 degree twistable analizer and a positionable lambda plate which make the usage of DIC very versatile. The polarizers are not delaminated. T he red tint plates gluing is also intact but there is a slight sign of aging on the perifery of the foil when the system is used in polarized light. Because of this raison the red tint plate is not recommended for measuring tusks(despite its nice first order red color) In DIC it is not visible. It has two DIC prisms: one for 50x and another one for 10x. 20x and 100x objectives. The unit is in ... moreexcellent optical. Mechanical and cosmetical condition with some signs of the age and normal usage on the painting. All parts are mooving smootly. This listing contains not the transmitted light accessories but the microscope can be extended in wide range when desired( r eflected light darkfield suppl ies are available in the market but I never missed it because of its excellent DIC. The DF-mask of the field-slider is partly worn-out but it is not disturbing the image. The objectives was manufactured in the last Mikroval serie. Theirs optical datas are visible on the photos. Please note that the numeric aperture of the 100x objective is barely higher than the n.a. of the 50x one. Because it is a dry system with high magnification. It gives the best resolution in brightfield. The 5x objective gives nice DIC in gray with the 10x prism. In color DIC the field of view is not perfectly homogenious by one interference color. On photo it is not visible. The changing of the interference color is periferical. The DIC is the most intensive and beatyful between 100x-500x magnification- this is the most generally used magnification range in material testing. The 50 Watt halogen power

Carl Zeiss Microscope INKO 1.4 NA DIC/Phase Condenser
Carl Zeiss INKO DIC/Phase Condenser You are bidding on a highly desired Carl Zeiss INKO DIC/Phase condenser which fits most Zeiss microscopes like the Universal. Photomicroscopes, Ultraphots and Standards. There are three DIC prisms in position I, II and III along with two phase annuli for Phase 2 and Phase 3 as well as the brightfield position marked J. It has a Pol 1.4 NA top lens and 0.32 NA with the top lens removed. All prisms and annuli are in nice condition with no delamiation and no peeling. The position I DIC prism has a very thin'rub' line across the middle but does not seem to effect DIC viewing and is only visible from the top with the top lense unscrewed but I can not detect anything while normal viewing through the microscope. All three DIC positions have smooth working iris. The iris for the BF position is stuck in ... morethe open position. I think the iris leaves are stuck together. I removed the pin so the iris on the three DIC positions open and close since I didn't need the BF iris. The pin is included in case you can get the iris leaves unstuck for the BF and can be seen in the last photo. This condenser has been cleaned and lubed for smooth operation. Germany engineering! This is an extremely rare complete Olympus BH2 BHSM incident light DIC material testing microscope. It is useable for brightfield. Simple polarisation, Nomarski(differential) interference contrast and darkfield. The microscope is in great condition. The filter holder tube of the vertical illuminator. The frontplate of the lamp house and the rack of the condenser holder were originally made from plastic. These parts were precisely re-manufactured from eloxed aluminium and chromium-plated brass by an fine-mechanic expert. These materials are technically much more trustable. The microscope shows some minor signs of the age and normal usage on the outside painting. The little plastic knob of one switch is missing. The optical elements are clean.
