The fine Leitz Laborlux S was one of the last Leitz"160" scopes before they transitioned to the infinity corrected models like the rest of the world. The instrument includes two body tubes.the SV ergonomic(tilting) binocular tube for comfortable use while drawing(with the included CAMERA LUCIDA) as well as the monocular tube"O" for quick interchange to use with your DSLR or older SLR film camera. All you need on the back end of the special Leitz/Nikon/Olympus camera tube is a T-mount ring for your particular camera make/model.about $20.00 on line. The instrument includes the very good 104 lamp and power supply(USA-made for E. Leitz) with 100W halogen bulb(two new spares included) I will also include a Hoffman modulation contrast ... moremodulator to fit the Leitz#56 condenser(included) and the proper rotating polarizer that fits on the dust window as shown in the third photo. The special HMCS 40x PLAN/0.65 achromatic objective is included. It is designed for use with the usual 0.17mm thick#1.5 coverslip and the slide in modulator for this lens is included. Just center for Koehler and you are good to go. Remove the modulator and then supply any 160/170 TL 45mm ML objectives you may already have. Expand to phase contrast as needed. The condenser is 0.90. Laborlux S has a field diaphragm. Mechanical stage, and the two bodytubes mentioned above. 10x oculars.
