Vintage Tempo Tube Guitar Amp 1960s Japan - Great Sound - 5 watt - Killer Look
Great sounding 1960s(possibly early 70s) Tempo tube guitar amplifier. Around 5 honest watts output through an 8" speaker. Very low hum at low to moderate volume and some background noise at max volume. Not overwhelming at all. At low volume it plays quite mellow with no harsh noises. Makes a Strat actually sound like a jazz guitar. At max volume, this thing cranks. No metal sounds but fabulous breakup for rock and blues. It also has a killer vibe look to it. Take a look at the pictures to see the mojo it exudes. No kidding, it not only sounds great but it has that vintage look, great for your collection. The controls work OK but the bass pot puts out some quite small variation of tone so it is essentially useless. It needs a good cleaning, too.I keep that on max and use the treble pot to make changes in tone, but neither has a great ... morerange. The knobs may be replacement set screw type and a couple are off center. No issue except they look weird when they are rotated. The tremolo is absolutely psychedelic! It adds so much depth to the sound it is one of the best features. I add a reverb pedal and crank the tremolo to half and sound like the Ventures for cryin' out loud.
