This tester is all electric(120VAC) no hydraulics, approx 1000lb load limit. Various Load transducers(load cells) are included, none are currently calibrated although they appear to be in good shape. This auction also includes several extra strain guages and a universal joint to eliminate unwanted lateral forces. The pictures show the Instron machine as currently equipped with 2 really nice pneumatic grippers with parallel gripping action for easily and conveniently holding a wide range of test specimens. The original Instron operating and programming manual is also included- see the pictures showing a few pages in the manual. Up for bid is a vintage Allen Scope. Automotive tester. The scope consists of two units bolted together, the bottom unit is model 27-49 A7H serial 1534, the top is model 27-48 B7J serial 0828. The unit comes with a cathode tube for the oscilloscope and a timing light and that's all I have. I do not know if it works, the bottom unit has a broken switch(I believe that has something to do with the combustion test) see pictures. The timing light case has a crack, see pencils pointing to it in picture. The paint is rough and does have nicks, scratches, chips, light rust, and stains on it. The connectors for the cathode tube appears to be intact and also those for the timing light. I am guessing this unit was made in the 1960's. I have seen operator's manuals available for the unit on E-bay. My plans were to make display piece out of ... morethis, but I have other projects now. Vintage Speco Tester Model YT-63
This is a vintage SPECO Tester from Components Specialties. Inc. located in Freeport, Long Island, NY. The tester is made in Japan. Sometimes model numbers indicate the year it was made. I'm not sure if that's the case here, but if it is this would've been made in 1963. The box is still together but in rough shape. The top has a chunk missing from the corner, it is pretty dinged up all around, and the corners have all been taped. The label is still good though. The meter itself looks clean and nice. There are scuffs from use over the years, but nothing major. It appears to test electrical currents or voltage(A.C. Voltage. D.C. Voltage, D.C. Current, and Resistance(1.5V) It can test 1000V, 250V, 50V, or 10V. I'm not sure exactly what this is used for or how to use it.
