Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Ortholux I Microscope Lamp Housing for lower light port
This lamp housing inserts into the lower light port of the Leitz Ortholux I microscope. If you intend to use this in the upper light port. An adapter tube will be necessary, since the microscope upper port is more narrow than the lower port(a poor design feature on Leitz's part) This lamp housing is in very good condition cosmetically. The exterior paint appears to have slight cracking in it. But it is not peeling. The interior of the lamp housing does have some oxidation. The diffusers inside the lamp housing are intact and in fine condition. Electrically. The light does work and has been tested, however a 6 volt, 30 watt lamp is NOT included in the auction. The lamps can still be found at on-line light distributors or here on Ebay. Please feel free to ask any questions.

I honestly don't know what this is. I found it in a closet in my father's house. He was a radiologist in the 60s and 70s and took a lot of pictures so it might have to do with that. The cover is labeled with MICRONTA. There is a lens that you look through in the little arm that looks like a handle. The box that it was stored in has hand written"Microscope Film Eye Piece. This is an older Bausch and Lomb Vertical Illuminator complete with a set of color filters for reflected light applications. It is a collectors item and a fine one at that. It is in excellent working condition. Has both aperature and field iris diaphragms. Filter holder slot, reflector mirror in perfect condition and with pull out a prism reflector as well also in perfect condition. Comes with five(5) clear color filters, one original green, and an additional green, blue, red and yellow all easily fitting one at a time into the filter holder. The vertical illuminator attaches on to the microscope with a 21mm diameter dovetail on top shown in picture one. Objective lens attaches underneath and the lens has two centering screws. Entire objective lens holder rotates 360 degrees and can be locked into position as desired.
