This is an old Bausch and Lomb Vertical Illuminator for reflected light applications. It is a collectors item and a fine one at that. Looks to be in excellent working condition. Has both aperature and field iris diaphragms. Filter holder slot, reflector mirror in perfect condition and with pull out a prism reflector as well also in perfect condition. Attaches to microscope with 21mm diameter dovetail on top shown in picture one and two. Objective lens attaches underneath and the lens has two centering screws. Entire objective lens holder rotates 360 degrees and can be locked into position as desired. This is a very rare Bausch& Lomb(B&L) achromatic aplanatic five lens 1.4 numerical aperature older style pol condenser in very nice condition. It is very rare. It slides onto the condenser carrier above the polarizer filter assembly with a dovetail mount. Dovetail is 47mm in diameter. The top lens flips out. Leaving a.28 numerical aperature for lower power objective lenses. We know it fit the Petrographic Microscope Model LC and probably other models as well. Circa for this pol condenser was in the 1940's and 1950's. Includes an aperature diaphragm and a half shadow device plate which facilitated Becke line tests for index measurements. For the collector this is a must have accessory. Most Bausch and Lomb Polarizing microscopes did not have this condenser; instead they had the standard issue 1.10na top lens. This is a set of various Zeiss 18mm diameter exciter and emission filters and two 22mm diameter dichoic mirrors. All appear in very good condition with no problems. The excitation filter is a 450-490 and is the only one with some minor marks toward the edge but very usable. The dichroic mirrors are FT510 and FT580 and the two emission filters are LP590 and LP520. All are made to fit the Zeiss IIIRS vertical fluorescent illuminator or the IV FL fluorescent vertical illuminator. This set of filters is more toward the red end of the spectrum. Zeiss Microscope Centering & Rotating Pol XY Mechanical Stage w/Centering Screws
This is a very nice Carl Zeiss X Y Rotating and Centering Mechanical stage for polarizing microscopy or transmitted or reflected light microscopy of most any kind. This particular stage comes with a centering device with both centering screws designed into the ring and not seperate requiring special tools as seen on most centering devices. The stage will also come with four standard metric slot head mounting screws as shown and fits all Zeiss black and grey colored microscopes as well as some of the Axioline models. Mechanically the stage works extremelly well. As it should without backlash, as does the rotation. Cosmetically it shows some minor wear as one would expect but much less than we normally see. There is no brassing or bad scratches on the top surface. Only one edge on the left side rim of picture two has any wear. Here is an American Optical AO/Spencer Bright-Line hemacytometer counting chamber engraved with the Improved Neubauer pattern. The hemacytometer serial number is 44153. The hemacytometer is supplied in a protective box and an original dedicated 0.4mm X 20mm X 26mm cover special hemacytometer cover slip. The AO/Spencer hemacytometer counting chamber is a single piece of thick glass with two counting areas. It has supports to hold the special cover glass at the proper distance above the counting areas. And a concave indentation on the back to prevent scratches from interfering with the counting areas. The counting background is semi-transparent providing a marked contrast with the bright lines delineating the counting grids. The slide is so constructed that the cover glass supports are raised above the body of the slide. The AO Spencer Bright-Line ... morehemacytometer requires a special cover slip, and a brand new, never used cover slip is included in the auction. This cover slip is very special, having plane-polished surfaces to insure perfect contact with the cover glass supports. The hemacytometer is in superb condition. Showing very little signs of use. I don't know a lot about Microscope adapters. But this is a vintage one. Tower 37. One of the pics shows that there is some reddish rust on tube of eyepiece. It does not look like that at all. It must have been the flash. There is some slight surface browning on it. But does not affect operation of adapter. The eye piece is a Lumiscope 5x. All seems to work and move fine. I believe it is an OM mount. Glass is clear. No fogging or scratches. Shows signs of normal use. Please look at all pics and if you have any questions, please ask before bidding. Big counterweight allows extending the arm quite far with a heacy microscope at the end. I have been using it with the Nikon Stereo Zoom microscope I am also listing.
