It's in excellent overall condition, featuring early nickel construction throughout, clean prism, spotless diaphragm, and smooth focus, and it's fitted with a 3-point centering collar on top(for attaching to a microscope by means of a Leitz precision changing clutch, such as the example I've listed in another auction tonight) and a double spring catch below(for attaching objectives by means of Leitz quick-mount rings, and one is provided here) Used many years ago in the geology department of the University of California in Berkeley, and still usable today. This appears to be a Leitz Modulopak vertical illuminator with a dovetail to fit the Laborlux ME/HL. Ergolux, Metallux, Secolux, possibly more) to be used with infinity objectives. There are various slots designed to accept BF/DF beamsplitters, filters, polarizers, diaphragms, etc. However, none are included. This illuminator appears to be quite similar to Leitz part 563 486. However, it does not have that p/n written on it, and it also has a painted metal block on the top of the illuminator tube that has the partially obscured printing“6370…DF” This plate may be part of one of the various accessories that could be used with this illuminator. I looked at photos of similar illuminators and they do have holes in the area that the plate is attached. Up for sale is a vertical illuminator for the Zeiss Standard line of microscope stands. This illuminator. Known as the II-A, is a vital accessory for reflected light imaging; part number 466230. This unit features an interchangable reflector module, fixed and centered field stop, and fixed and centered aperture. There are slots to add a filter or polarizer for reflected light Pol or DIC. This is configured for the quick-change single objective holder. Everything appears to be in excellent condition with only a couple of small cracks in the plastic retaining ring the secures the light source- please see the pictures for more details. UP for sale is an Olympus BH2 Microscope UMA vertical illuminator for Infinity objectives. this can transform a finite BH2 microscope to infinity objectives. there is a crack( see 3rd photo) but it was repaired and doesn't affect the functionality. limited testing has been done since I don't have the proper setup to test this equipment. all knob turns smoothly. no cubes included. the optics looks good and produce clear image. selling as is.
