This set has barely been used and is in perfect optical condition. This version of the set is for use with the quick-change objective ring on the Universal and Photomicroscopes. This is a Carl Zeiss Epiplan 10x/22 reflected light objective lens. This was a special lens in the fact that 10x was not a"normal" reflected light magnification for Zeiss. 4.8,16,40& 80x& 100x oil gave the standard normal ASTM magnifications. This 10x has a unique catatog number on it 460467-9902 with a much older Epiplan series serial number as well. There used to be Epi 10x but not Epiplan 10x like this one with a flat field edge to edge. Other than that it is a standard 33mm lens being parfocal with the HD series of Epiplan lenses. It has the 24mm mounting threads and comes with the easily removable epi change ring for using on a single place vertical illuminator. Optically clean and clear with no blemishes or decementing. This is a used Carl Zeiss 10x/22 Pol objective lens. Some coating coming off front lens from cleaning but other than that it is optically clean and clear with no blemishes and no decementing. The top centering ring works however the bottom centering ring is frozen. It has been tested and for a 10x with the large field of view it still rotates practically right on axis. Cosmetically it shows wear and scratches on the metal where the wrong tool by someone was used to try and loosen the ring. Other than those facts. The strain free 10x pol lens works perfectly optically as it should. The image is perfect. 160mm tube length with standard RMS 20.2mm diameter threads. Priced to sell!
