American Optical 15x Wide Field Microscope Ocular
Trying to limit my collection to B&L only. So here is an item from American Optical. This is a 15x Wide Field American Optical microscope eyepiece. Catalog number 147. This standard 23.2 outside diameter ocular is a well made high magnification eyepiece that can provide higher magnification than standard 10x oculars. The metal construction holds several lenses in position and may be disassembled for cleaning. From it's construction I would guess that it is a Ramsden style eyepiece but do not hold me to that as I have never disassembled the components. It is comparatively rare and a fine addition to the collection of any American Optical enthusiast. Although it is in working condition, it would benefit from cleaning.
