This is a Nikon CF Plan 40x/0.70 microscope objective for 160mm tube length and 0.17mm cover slip thickness. Uses a standard RMS thread. Optics and body both in excellent condition. I purchased this objective from a reputable eBay seller. For use in a macrophotography rig. But in the end I found myself doing most of my work at lower magnifications and so I’ve decided to sell it to fund the purchase of more 10x and 20x optics. When cleaning it(which was rarely necessary) I used a blower bulb to remove dust, followed by Whatman 105 lens cleaning tissue slightly moistened with distilled water. It comes in an objective pot(the plastic container that it screws in to) And will be shipped wrapped up in bubble wrap and padded with packing peanuts in a sturdy box. Mounting thread is standard RMS, will fit and work on upright microscope models such as the Leitz Laborlux 11/12/D/K/L/S, Dialux 20/20EB/22/22EB and Diaplan models.
