It's in excellent overall condition, featuring early nickel construction throughout, clean prism, spotless diaphragm, and smooth focus, and it's fitted with a 3-point centering collar on top(for attaching to a microscope by means of a Leitz precision changing clutch, such as the example I've listed in another auction tonight) and a double spring catch below(for attaching objectives by means of Leitz quick-mount rings, and one is provided here) Used many years ago in the geology department of the University of California in Berkeley, and still usable today. This is a near complete incident light microscope. All it needs is a few objectives. Eyepieces and a stand. It consists of three pieces: The binocular head, vertical EPI illuminator and a course/fine focusing rack with 4 objective turret. It has been fully tested and everything(optically and mechanically) work perfectly. The tube diameter for the column is ~24.5mm. Dovetail diameter for the various parts are all 49mm.
