I KNOW THERE'S A LOT TO READ HERE BUT IT WOULD BE IN YOUR BEST INTEREST TO DO SO. This old vise is really nice. The action is as slick as any I've ever felt. It's just absolutely gorgeous all over, inside and out. Let me tell you a little about the vise in general and then what I know about this particular unit. The patented date comes up via searching as August 16. 1938. It was issued to the Reed Manufacturing Company in Eerie PA. The patent was applied for on January 14, 1936. Reed was the manufacturer and Craftsman sold it under their name. Craftsman has rebranded the vises they sell for as long as they've been selling vises, they are not a manufacturer but a reseller. The model is No. 5184 and the patent is No. 2127008. In the last photo I've posted a scan of the original Patent approval so you can see all of this ... moreinformation yourself. When closed 7 1/2" Tall overall Weight is 29 Pounds Now. About this particular vise up for auction here; When I got it the tool was a real mess. Spider nests, dust balls, dirt. just scuz everywhere. It wasn't pretty to say the least. I took it home and gave it a bath to see what I was working with. Then I completely disassembled every part and cleaned each one in great detail. The exposed metal parts were cleaned using electrolysis. Electrical current flowing through a neutral/base liquid solution. Everything was scrubbed down using warm soapy water and then dried with air. At this point I was able to give it a good inspection and I liked what I found. What I saw was no damage anywhere and in excellent shape. Yes. There is some light surface marks here and there from use but structurally it's 100% sound. This Record 2075B Vise(Or Vice as they spell it in England. is quite unusual and definitely handy. It has two features which make it unique; The first is that it doesn't have metal jaws but ones made from polypropylene. This is a dense. Plastic-like material which isn't aggressive on softer surfaces. Excellent for holding things like circuit boards and model parts. The second feature is that this vise is reversible. That means. If you need extra distance you can unscrew the dynamic jaw so that it's completely free, swivel the main body 180 degrees and then thread it into the rear side. WILTON 9300 3" BULLET BENCH VISE VICE MADE IN USA
Hi! For bid I have a very nice USA made Wilton bullet vise. This is my own personal vise that I bought used many years ago. It is dated 6-71. I don't do much work in my shop anymore. So I am selling some of the tools I no longer use. This is just the way the vise came off of my work bench. It is NOT restored in any way. It operates nice and smooth and the jaws close tight and square. The screw is in excellent condition as well as the rest of the vise. There are no breaks, cracks, or repairs of any kind on this vise. I do believe it still has the original paint, but I can't guarantee this as I don't know for sure. You will have to be the judge from the pictures. I could have cleaned and painted it to make it look better, but I would rather leave that option to the new owner. Vintage 1-3/4" Jeweler's miniature smooth-jaw restored vise gunsmith vice
Up for bids is an old 1-3/4" bench-mount(clamp) jeweler's vise which has been nicely restored and repaired. When I say repaired-nothing was done for repairs except for improving its function as a vise. The vise was completely disassembled before the poorly finished surface was massaged with a rol-loc disk to remove the extra flashing which was never taken off at the factory. Speaking of factory briefly-there are no makers marks on this vise-so I cannot adequately state where it was made or when. Back to the condition-after the flashing marks were cleaned up. The edges of the jaw teeth were trued to one another so they all matched before they were hand-filed and sanded. As you can see-the jaw teeth are smooth, not serrated so that whatever small instruments or jewelry you're working on will not be damaged. The jaws close nice ... moreand true-although there is admittedly slight play in these small vises from the factory which cannot be corrected without re-machining of the slide posts and receiver slots. Following cleanup of the jaws, the small hammer marks on top of the jaws and anvil surface were smoothed out and removed. Afterward the vise pieces were sandblasted before being etch primed and sprayed with metallic gold and clear coated. There is NO clearcoat on the bare metal parts as I hope this little piece will be used by a craftsman somewhere out there. Everything on this vise works very nicely and it looks to match its function and intention. If you have any questions, please ask. Vintage Pritzlaff 3-1/2" Vise made in Milwaukee, WI (Restored) Vice Chevy Blue
Here's an old Pritzlaff 3-1/2" Vise which was made in Milwaukee. WI. I cannot determine any exact time frame from when the vise was manufactured, but it's old and its nicely designed. It's very nicely made and has been restored by me. During the restoration all the original slight hammer marks were removed using a rol-loc disk before being hand-filed and sanded smooth. I then sandblasted the main vise components except for the screw and vise handle. The jaw faces were also trued with a hand file and they mate together very nicely. The edges of the jaws were also trued to one another so that there is no overlap or sloppy fitment. Once everything was cleaned up I masked off the jaws, and handle and screw before etch-priming and spraying Chevrolet Blue and clear-coated afterwards. 1980 Wilton Swivel Bench Bullet Vise 3 1/2" Jaws 39 Lbs Made In USA vice
Full specs at the bottom of listing. THIS VISE HAS A MISSING JAW SUPPORT SHELF. More on this below. This is a 1980 Wilton 3 1/2" swivel bench vise. This isn't like 3 1/2" vises you've seen before. Most of the vises in this size are quite small. This one is anything but small. Definitely a good sized vise with plenty of holding power. In fact, both the seller and myself believed this to be a 4" vise. It wasn't until I measured the jaws that I realized it had 3.5" jaws. I mean, honestly, it's a 3 1/2" vise that weighs almost 40 pounds! These are among the most heavy duty 3 1/2" vises ever sold and this is from one of Wilton's best generations in my opinion. Great looks and great performance from a reasonable sized package. This is going to be a beauty on anybody's bench. Now let's talk ... morea little about the elephant in the room. The missing jaw shelf. Nothing is perfect, not even Wilton. If anything they're guilty of making too good a vise. The tolerance between the jaw and shelf is tighter than your typical vise. This can sometimes pose a problem and I've seen it more on Wiltons than on other vises. In my experience it seems to affect the rear jaw most of the time. Basically when a person uses too big a hammer and strikes downward too hard it can crack the support shelf beneath the jaw. Sometimes it chips just a corner and sometimes, as in this case, the entire shelf will break free. This will never happen if a vise isn't abused and hitting any vise hard with a heavy hammer is just asking for trouble. But this vise did have that happen and here we are. Let me tell you one thing though; this will never, ever cause any problems if this vise is used as intended, as a vise. If you don't whale into your work with a giant hammer you'll never know this support is missing. In addition to the two jaw bolts there's also a hard steel metal dowel sliding through the center of each jaw and into the body to further assist in support. I repeat; unless

Vice, bench hobby 3-1/2" jaws Servess Excellent Condition Used
This small vice looks as if it's been used very little. The 3-1/2" jaw opens to 3-1/3" wide and has a pipe-holder below the regular jaw. It also has a little anvil-area on the top. Brand is Servess. Manufacture is Taiwan. Probably not the toughest vice on the market. But for a hobby bench, very affordable. Comes with the mounting hardware shown. It has a rough texture blue finish.

Antique Machinists? Vice 3 1/2" jaws
You are bidding on what I believe to be an antique machinists vice. There is a name on the side but I am unable to make out what it says. It is marked with the numbers V112 and V111. Not sure if those numbers would help identify the manufacturer? The vice weighs a little over 17lbs. It stands a little over 6" tall. The base measures 5 1/4" and is marked V113. All parts work.
