This is a vintage WILTON bullet machinist bench vise. Believe it is a No. 5 model. It has 2 1/2" jaws and opens to 3 1/2" Has the swivel base with double locks. This vise is in nice shape. Retains a good deal of the original paint and the jaws are in super conditon. Does show use, but has been kept in nice condition. Comes with a set of brass jaw caps. Wilton bullet vises are about the best bench vise you will find. They are the smoothest operating vises and this one is as smooth as it gets. No play. These vises will last forever with a bit of care. Will ship in a flat rate box for the best rate. Vise goes 12 pounds. Will cover the insurance.

This is a Made in USA vise,this came with a foil name plate originally that was stick-on and had fallen off over the years,a new one is available through Wilton if you want to replace it. The jaws are 4-inches and wide and open to 5-inch capacity. It also has pipe jaws under the main jaws.However one of the pipe jaw inserts is missing. This is a good solid vise that everything moves freely on. It has been used in a shop environment.Is dirty,and has nicks and dings in it. It is not cracked,broken,and has no prior repairs. Vintage / Antique Wilton 21 inch? Bullet Bench Vise Without Swivel Base
Up for auction is an estate fresh find. this is a large old Wilton bullet vice. closed it measures approximately 21 inches. My scale only goes to 50 pounds and is incapable of weighing it but it is quite heavy. it is very old and shows the standard wear and tear of an old well used tool. It does appear to have a broken pin however as I cannot open the vice at all to measure the total jaw length. a little oil& a little work and probably a simple fix for somebody who knows what they're doing. sold as is. potentially a great item for any shop or garage or a great item for a themed restaurant or other such venue. if you have any questions please feel free to ask. Hello.This listing is for a vintage Wilton C1"bullet" bench vise as-shown. It is in great condition overall,and looks to still be wearing it`s original paint. It weighs 62-lbs and has 4-1/2" wide jaws. There are no cracks,broken pieces,chips,dents,previous repairs,etc. It looks to have led an easy life. The jaw inserts are in great shape,it also has a set of pipe jaws underneath the main jaws. It even still has the rubber stops on the handle. This vise also features a swivel base. For Absolute Auction Here is a super cool Wilton Bullet Vise. Original? red color. Jaws are 3 1/2" wide. Opens to about 6 1/2" when fully extended. Measures about 14 1/2" from bullet tip to crank when closed. Weighed in at about 30 lbs. This is a fixed. Not swivel, base. Measures 6" in diameter. The side with the crank is stamped with the number 835. While the"bullet" side of the vise has what appears to be the number 935. Not sure how the numbering works on these. SEE PICS of the jaws- these could stand to be reworked. I took it apart and cleaned some grime that has collected over the decades. But did not use harsh chemicals. For this reason, it will arrive oily and in need of some cleaning. Opens and closes smoothly; the internal turn screw is nice and shiny with not stripping. This is a WILTON"TOOL CORP" so you know it's old! Bullet Bench(Machinist) Vise with 3" actually closer to 2.75" Jaws, made at the Chicago, ILL USA plant, so it could be late 1940's. There is a small tweak to the vise that does not allow the jaws to come together perfectly. It could be I assembled the jaws opposite? Not sure. But I used all the original fasteners. The vise is also missing the end dust cap and has no swivel base. The previous owner did some grinding/filing on the key itself, so I have no solid date to offer you. RESTORED Wilton Bullet Swivel Bench Vise 4" Jaws 50 lbs.1971 Made in USA vice
This is the last vise you'll ever buy. Unless you want more than one of course. This old vise is a real beauty. Big and heavy too. That is no small tree stump it's resting on. It wasn't this pretty when I got it. It had sat in a garage for who knows how long. It had about a 1/8" of house paint and crud all over it. It was just begging to be brought back to life. I cleaned it up as much as I could with soap and water and then media blasted it down to bare metal along with some wire brushing. It was completely disassembled. Everything that is removable was removed. After some time in the solvent tank, clean and apart, I could give it a thorough inspection. I was happy to find that the metal is still in fantastic condition. No cracks, no welds and no repairs. That's what you want. You can see it all stripped down in the ... morelast photo. After every piece was completely cleaned and prepped I was able to begin the refinishing. I chose Italian Olive for the color and applied a baked on enamel finish. It should hold up very well. The vise is quite handsome in person. None of these photos capture the color well in my opinion, it's more attractive when you see it. You'll also be stunned at its size and weight the first time you handle it. All of the moving mechanisms and friction surfaces have been freshly lubed with blue, synthetic grease. This vise is ready for decades of hard work. The action is simply fantastic on it. Your eyebrows will lift the first time you screw it in and out. I promise. It's hard to believe how well vises were made back in the day after getting used to the junk sold today in big-box stores. This vise has smooth face jaws and they are in nice shape. You won't need to change them for a very long time. However, a couple of the jaw screws are kind of bunged up where the Phillips screwdriver goes in. It's no problem, the jaws are in tight and the screws aren't going anywhere. However, the next time, maybe 30 years from now, when you change jaws out it might be a

Vintage Wilton Cadet 9140 Swivel Bullet Bench Vise 4" Jaws 1956 machinist
Antique Wilton Cadet model 9140 bullet vise. The manufacture date on the drift key is 11-30-56. The vise jaws are 4" wide and open to approximately 5 1/2" The vise is in good operational condition. But at one time someone must have beat on something so hard that it broke off part of the base under the jaw on the fixed side and roughed up the top behind the jaw(see photos) When I got it the fixed jaw was missing. I made a replacement jaw out of mild steel and it works fine. I had to re-tap the screw threads so the screws are different sizes on the 2 jaws. The missing part of the jaw base does not affect clamping strength. It would only be a factor if you wanted to clamp a part in it and beat it with a sledge hammer. The screw is in good shape and turns very smoothly. This would be great candidate for restoration or it will function ... moregreat for years to come just as it is. The fixed jaw base could be built back up with weld or simply left alone. Overall a very good vise and would be beautiful restored. Note: Shipping is to lower 48 states only. The base plate and screw may be dissasembled so that it will fit into a flat rate box.

It does have paint peeling I assume is original paint, don't know what year it is has grease on it has been used. Still works you can move in and out like the vise should. Pot metal junk) Even the once mighty Wilton has ruined their reputation with Chinese sourced pot metal vises sold at Lowes. Its NOT a Wilton- at least not the ones you remember. I have pics of"new" Wiltons broken in half after a few uses. Even their pro line is nowhere ... moreclose to ones made in the 70's back. A quick google search will uncover DOZENS of"new" Wilton bullet vises with mounting feet broken off. The quality of the metal isn't there any more. As a mechanic my world revolves around impact wrenches and bench vises- This is a beautiful little vise. Jaws are 3" opens to 5" and it has both a swivel base and anvil back. It was found in a workshop that had been closed since the late 70's. It looks like it never saw much use. Add a new coat of paint or put it to work as is. I haven't cleaned or painted the vise- sweat equity" keeps the prices low. The jaws are nice and tight and in excellent shape. Almost perfect faces on each with no serious scars or damage. This would be a great vise for the bench downstairs or out in the garage. HUGE vises are great too. But NOT FOR EVERY JOB. Vintage 1946 Chicago Wilton Bullet Swivel Bench Vise 3 1/2" Jaws Made In USA
This is a very old Wilton Bullet Vise manufactured when the company was still in Chicago. Before moving to Schiller Park, IL in 1955. This particular vise was made in July of 1946. For being as old as it is this vise is in fantastic condition. I had it stripped down to bare metal and I saw no damage anywhere. A lot of these really old bullets show signs of heavy use but this one was obviously well cared for. The swivel lock-down cap nuts are original to this vintage, before they used the sliding handle clamping nuts. One steel jaw insert has been replaced and the other is original. I honestly have no idea why but the original jaw insert is still in decent condition. They line up well with parallel surfaces and clamping force is excellent. Brand new rubber finger-saver washers were installed on the handle. After stripping it down and surface ... moreprep I applied 3 coats of Hammered Finish Verde Green enamel. Each was baked on at 200 degrees for 30 minutes. This is the best system I've come up with for providing a durable finish. The color is very close to the famous Wilton color, it looks blue in the photos but it's more green in person. For some reason this paint always photographs heavy on the blue. NOTE: Admittedly the photos aren't very good. The vise looks better in person than what's showing here. I had about a ten minute break in Seattle's rain today to take them so I was rushed. If and when we get a pause in the precipitation I'll take some better photos and post them down at the bottom, below the auction text. I applied synthetic lubricant on the friction surfaces; Main screw threads. Horse-shoe retaining collar and slide key-way. It's ready to be bolted down and put to work. This vise functions great and will provide many decades of use if treated properly. By that I mean vises aren't intended to have cheater bars put on the handles or bashed with heavy sledge hammers. WILTON 9300 3" BULLET BENCH VISE VICE MADE IN USA
Hi! For bid I have a very nice USA made Wilton bullet vise. This is my own personal vise that I bought used many years ago. It is dated 6-71. I don't do much work in my shop anymore. So I am selling some of the tools I no longer use. This is just the way the vise came off of my work bench. It is NOT restored in any way. It operates nice and smooth and the jaws close tight and square. The screw is in excellent condition as well as the rest of the vise. There are no breaks, cracks, or repairs of any kind on this vise. I do believe it still has the original paint, but I can't guarantee this as I don't know for sure. You will have to be the judge from the pictures. I could have cleaned and painted it to make it look better, but I would rather leave that option to the new owner. 3.5" Wilton Bullet Bench Vise
You are bidding on a nice Wilton#835 bench vise. It has 3.5" jaws. Is approximately 14.5" long and weighs about 30lbs. give or take. This is a true clean survivor with the factory paint under the greenish colored varnish. You can even see what's left of the factory sticker which you rarely ever see. The vise opens and closes very nice. The handle is not bent, the vise has no cracks or previous weld repairs. It does have some MINOR scratches and gouges which is to be expected for a vise over 40 years old. It looks like the manufactured date is 6-69(see last pic) The only negative to the vise is that the dynamic jaw has been replaced at one time with one that obviously is not original. You can purchase new ones online. I will get this to you as soon as soon as is humanly possible. The vise is from 1953. Wears it's original paint, has excellent condition 2" jaws, a double lock swivel base and is in fantastic condition for it's age. Vintage Wilton Bullet. Date stamp reads 1/79. Jaws measure 3" wide, opens 5 1/2" weighs just over 25lbs. VICE HAS A CRACK. You will see in pics, actually cracked on both sides at base of vise. One side has a piece broken off. You will see this in pics. Despite the cracks, vise appears to be in very good condition, everything working as expected. Handle turns smoothly, jaws show little wear. Cap on back does have a dent. Nice looking vise& it's a Wilton! If you can weld, you can probably have your self a great working vise. This can go for parts or repair, you can use as is but I don't know how well it will hold up.

The big hunk of iron you're looking at is an absolutely stunning vise manufactured by Wilton in 1990. This is a 1750 combination swivel vise with 5" jaws and it weighs a hefty 46.5 pounds. You can see how large it is next to the full size BIC lighter. This is an extremely well made vise. Yes. This vise is painted with Snap On colors and the reason for that is Wilton manufactured these vises and sold them as their own Tradesman line but also licensed them to Snap On with no changes other than color. This vise could have been either sold as a Snap On or a Wilton. No original paint remained when I received it so it may have been either, there's no way to tell that I'm aware of. Even without knowing for certain ... moreI opted to go for the Snap On version with this restoration simply for a change of pace and, let's be honest, it looks great in red! I also didn't want to conceal the fantastic metal condition with hammered finish paint that Wilton uses. Enough about that. Let's get down to the nitty-gritty. There's a lot of brand new stuff here. I put on sets of new steel jaws plus new pipe jaws, each with brand new fasteners. The finger saver rubber washers are also new as are all the decals. I took this vise all the way down to bare metal with stripping gel and it's in absolutely wonderful condition inside and out. One of the nicest I've ever had in fact. Then I surface prepped the cast iron pieces, heated them to 200 ° and sprayed on three coats of Stop Sign Red enamel. Each coat was baked at 200 ° for 30 minutes. This makes for a decently strong finish. All of the steel pieces were cleaned up and made to both look and function perfectly. Finally. Everything was reassembled with long lasting synthetic lubricant on all friction surfaces. With a great starting point and so many new parts this was an easy job. Wilton 09-600 Machinist Bullet Bench Vise Swivel Base USA "Huge"
Up for bid is this HUGE Wilton Swivel Bench Vise. It is Wilton model 09-600 made in Schiller Park Ill. U.S.A. It has 6" wide jaws and opens 10" This monster weighs over 145 Lbs. It had been in a shop for 36 years and was used every day they were open. Shows it has been used by all the dings on top. This baby would last another 36 years of every day use. A little paint and some grinding a person could make it look really nice. Taking the pictures I noticed a bolt missing in one of the replaceable jaws. I will try to fix that. The pins in the swivel bolts are bent really bad. Everything else seems to work great. I am listing this as local pickup only. Vintage 1947 Chicago Wilton Bullet Swivel Bench Vise 2.5" Jaws Made In USA baby
Full specs at the bottom of listing. It would be difficult to find something from 1947 in better condition than this vise. This cute little guy is in amazing shape and all original too. Just look at the 12 large gallery pics for yourself. I really couldn't believe how nice it was when I started getting it cleaned up. Dream job for me really; small and easy. The only thing I had to mend was a shallow divot on the anvil space. It was filled and then sanded smooth so now that divot is gone. I did this only for cosmetic reasons. There's no structural damage, welds or repairs on this vise. Everything here is drop dead gorgeous. These are really, really small vises. Look at the photo of it sitting with a soda can and you'll get the idea. This is for precise work holding. Obviously this is a Chicago made vise before Wilton moved to Schiller ... morePark. I stripped it with gel. Cleaned up the hardware and then prepped the metal for paint. The metal gets warmed to 200 ° and then three coats of Satin Leaf enamel are sprayed on. I bake each coat for 30 minutes at 200 ° and in the end we get a nice looking. Tough paint job. The color is decently close to the mint-hospital-green paint Wilton used way back when. Then it all goes back together with some synthetic lubricant on the friction zones and, in the end, we have ourselves a nice little vise. I have nothing even remotely negative to mention here, zip. The action is unbelievable, feels like it's never been used. Jaw reaction is immediate and precise. The jaws look fantastic and they line up flush and square. Honestly, everything on this vise is amazing. If you're looking for one of the little Wilton bullets you can stop searching now because I'd be amazed if you ran across one nicer than this. This one here is a freak in how nice everything is. This is one package you'll love to get in the mail. I promise. 1980 Wilton Swivel Bench Bullet Vise 3 1/2" Jaws 39 Lbs Made In USA vice
Full specs at the bottom of listing. THIS VISE HAS A MISSING JAW SUPPORT SHELF. More on this below. This is a 1980 Wilton 3 1/2" swivel bench vise. This isn't like 3 1/2" vises you've seen before. Most of the vises in this size are quite small. This one is anything but small. Definitely a good sized vise with plenty of holding power. In fact, both the seller and myself believed this to be a 4" vise. It wasn't until I measured the jaws that I realized it had 3.5" jaws. I mean, honestly, it's a 3 1/2" vise that weighs almost 40 pounds! These are among the most heavy duty 3 1/2" vises ever sold and this is from one of Wilton's best generations in my opinion. Great looks and great performance from a reasonable sized package. This is going to be a beauty on anybody's bench. Now let's talk ... morea little about the elephant in the room. The missing jaw shelf. Nothing is perfect, not even Wilton. If anything they're guilty of making too good a vise. The tolerance between the jaw and shelf is tighter than your typical vise. This can sometimes pose a problem and I've seen it more on Wiltons than on other vises. In my experience it seems to affect the rear jaw most of the time. Basically when a person uses too big a hammer and strikes downward too hard it can crack the support shelf beneath the jaw. Sometimes it chips just a corner and sometimes, as in this case, the entire shelf will break free. This will never happen if a vise isn't abused and hitting any vise hard with a heavy hammer is just asking for trouble. But this vise did have that happen and here we are. Let me tell you one thing though; this will never, ever cause any problems if this vise is used as intended, as a vise. If you don't whale into your work with a giant hammer you'll never know this support is missing. In addition to the two jaw bolts there's also a hard steel metal dowel sliding through the center of each jaw and into the body to further assist in support. I repeat; unless

This"baby Wilton" is in perfect working condition. She has been oiled and every moving part turns freely. She has the usual nicks. Scrapes, paint and rust that tools of this age have. Even a few sets of initails have been scratcched out thru the years. But even with these flaws I could not think of giving her a facelift. Snap On Extreme Green 1750 Swivel Combination Bench Vise 5" Jaws Wilton bullet
Full specs at the bottom of listing. Undoubtedly there's an awful lot of Snap On Extreme Green fans out there so I see no reason why you guys can't have a Snap On vise in your favorite color. We all know that Snap On never released a vise in this color but I had a red one come my way that needed refinishing so here we are. To the best of my knowledge this is the first Snap On vise painted this color. I don't think it's any secret that Wilton manufactured these vises for Snap On and that's a good thing because Wilton makes some of the world's best vises. This is a very nice 46.6 pound vise with 5" jaws in outstanding condition. Action is terrific. One finger liquid smooth. The jaws are all in good shape and the surfaces meet up parallel with even clamping power. There is a small nick on the bottom corner of one ... morejaw but it's out of the way and won't cause you any problems. There's no structural damage, welds or repairs. The anvil area shows a few working marks but it's pretty nice actually. Nothing bad to say about it and you're going to love your new vise, I guarantee it. I'll tell you a bit about the restoration now if you care to read. It's a fairly basic method. After a warm. Soapy scrub bath the paint is stripped with aviation gel and final cleanup takes place with a quick media blast. I prep the cast iron surfaces for paint and then warm them to 200 degrees. Then 3 coats of enamel are sprayed, each one being baked on at the same 200 ° for 30 minutes. All of the steel hardware is cleaned to look as good as it can. New rubber finger saver washers installed, synthetic grease is applied to the moving parts and then back together it goes. The Snap On badges were worn beyond repair so I chose a set of decals which I thought to be a good fit. The finished product is a gorgeous vise that works even better than it looks. Wilton 4" jaw Machinist Bullet bench vise EXCELLENT original condition 400s USA
Wilton Bullet Machinist vise. 4" Jaws. Purchased new in 1993, as indicated by date stamp on jib and matching date stamp on arm of 8-93. Great shape late model and still made in the Schiller Park facility where the great ones all came from, before Wilton got bought out. This vise is in excellent original condition. Original greenish/blue flaked paint still in great shape. Has been used very little, jaws in excellent shape. Vise is very smooth and true, ram does not wobble at all, anvil section has one small stain I have not tried to remove, and no hammer or strike marks. I have two Wilton bullets and use them in my shop everyday, this is one of, if not the, nicest used Wilton vises I have seen. It has not been reconditioned or restored, there are no repairs, and I took the vise apart to clean the old grease pack out. Wilton Tradesman 1750 Swivel Combination Bench Vise 5" Jaws 43 Lbs. bullet vice
Full specs at the bottom of listing. I suggest you bolt this one down quick because this vise looks like it's ready to speed off. I've painted hundreds of vises and. To be perfectly honest, it can get a little boring so it's fun to mix things up. I decided that a nice set of racing stripes could be interesting and I think it looks pretty amazing actually. The gray color is Satin Granite Enamel and the stripe/base color is called Satin Pimento but it looks to me like orange with a little red in it. It's a very nice looking combination and is immediately striking in person. The paint is three coats, applied to warm cast iron and each application was baked on at 200 degrees for 30 minutes. I really like this method and I think you will too. The entire vise was disassembled. Stripped of old paint and cleaned inside and out. All ... moreof the steel hardware was cleaned as well. I put all new threaded fasteners on this vise; jaw screws, collar screws and swivel lock bolts. All of the female threads were chased with a tap and work smoothly. The jaws, as you can see, are in very nice condition and line up parallel and flush, just as they should. Everything was put back together with synthetic grease on the friction surfaces. No paint is on any friction surface by the way. To cap things off brand new Wilton foil decals and rubber finger savers were installed. I need to mention that this was a well used vise when I got it. I know it looks nice but please don't expect to receive a brand new vise and this one was obviously in service. Things like the handle is not 100% straight. But it's very close. You'll find little nicks from tools here and there, mostly on the anvil area and towards the top front of the round bare-metal slide. I don't mean to scare anybody off, this is a fine working tool with no deal-breaking issues at all, it's simply that this vise wasn't kept in a crib but used as intended. Wilton Tradesman 1740 Swivel Combination Bench Vise 4" Jaws 31 Lbs. bullet vice
Full specs at the bottom of listing. This 4" Wilton Tradesman is in superb condition. No doubt it has seen very little use. It had jaw covers on it when I brought it home and that explains why the steel jaw insert faces are as fantastic as they are. I love finding them like this. Makes my job easy. I have nothing negative to report here. The jaws line up flush and perfect, even clamping pressure across the board. To me that's the most important aspect of any vise because if it doesn't clamp well then it isn't much of a vise. As you most likely very well know I gave this vise a very thorough restoration as I do pretty much all the vises I put up for auction. You know the drill; strip the paint with gel. Quick media blast, inspection, warm the cast iron pieces in an oven, spray on three coats of each color, bake each coat at ... more200 degrees for 30 minutes, clean the steel hardware up and reassemble with synthetic lubricant. Boom! Done, just like that. This is a pro job, no corners were cut and it's going to last a very, very long time if treated properly. I do all the little things to help set my vises apart from others. The deeper you look into it the more impressed you'll with it you'll be. It's very nice and you have my word that you're going to love it. The gray is Satin Granite enamel. The green is Satin Leaf which is a match to the color Wilton used on their vises in the 1940's so we have a little throw-back there. You may have noticed the racing stripes. maybe not, but probably. These are painted on, not tape, but you knew that because you looked at the dozen large gallery photos. Brand new Wilton foil decals were applied on both sides.
