WILTON VISE C0, 1991, NEW JAWS NICE!
This C0 has been stripped. Cleaned, lubed and painted a similar Wilton color. Overall condition is very good. The pipe jaws show little wear and the originals were nice except for one ugly chip off the end so I replaced them. The new owner will receive them. The previous machinist or owner must have had some attachment on the towers. There are 4 tapped 1/4" holes equally located on the towers. I put 1/4" cap screws on. Operation is smooth, handle response is good, it swivels 360 and locks down tightly. i purchased this old Wilton vice at a ranch house estate sale& auction last year. i'm not sure how old this vise is but my estimate is 1930's-1950's era. i can't believe how heavy. Well made& stout this thing is. works perfectly. has 2 sliding support rails as opposed to just one like most other hobby vises of this size. heavy duty for it's size. jaws measure 3" across. the word"Wilton Chicago" is embossed on the front, right above the handle. handle is missing. or a previous owner purposely replaced the handle w/ a large old nail. over all a very nice vice& can't beat the price! opening bid less than $15! old vice is made in the USA. built better, heavier& stronger than any import chinese vice of this size!

Heavy duty Wilton machinist vise may have been one of the first vises Wilton made? Bottom of slide is stamped 3-945 which I believe dates vise to 1940. Vise is approx. 15" long closed. And weights approx. 38 Lbs. Jaws are 4" wide and open to over 6" wide. Has swivel base. Vise reads: WILTON VISE No 4 PAT PEN USA WILTON TOOL CORP. Vise is in excellent. Clean, lightly used but not abused condition! There was some old pain which I removed and checked every inch of this vise! There is nothing broken. Damaged, or repaired! No surprises. Fresh out of a barn is this super nice American made Wilton 6-1/2" antique bullet vise. This vise is 100% functional and looks to me like it barely saw any use! You will notice that it has acquired some"patina" you may call it surface rust) over time. But I chose not to use any solvents or clean it, and instead leave it in as-found condition. I did not want to do anything that would damage this authentic piece of American iron. I am certain that it will clean up just fine if you choose to do so. It has some paint splatters and the less-than-usual usage marks. Opens to 5 inches. Model number is either a 111111 or 111109 depending on where one looks. My Modern Wilton catalogue has a close match called a"Workshop" with some differences. It's made in the USA and came from an estate. The bench mounting bolts are included. Has a 4-hole mount Swivel Base(270 degree) Anvil measures 2.5 x 2.5 inches. Pipe jaws built in. Perfect shop vice. WILTON VISE. CADET, 4 1'2' JAWS 1973, NICE! Its hard to establish time lines with specific models of the Wilton Bullet. This model was stamped 2-73. Wilton premiered this model in 1954 and its was tailored to the auto mechanic shops and home use. It does not appear in their 1972 catalog. Wilton built this model on the basic Wilton bullet platform of the late 40's.Early 50's and to cut corners Wilton left off the anvil and rear dust cap, The vise itself is very close to the 4 1/2 made in the 40's. Its shorter with a shorter throat and no anvil made this vise more appealing in price. The Wilton bullet has come a long way in their 4" swivel evolving from this 1st generation 36 lb 4" from almost 70 years ago to today's 60 lb 400S. One thing both have in common is the quality, That can't be changed. This is the smallest of the 4" bullets, ideal for a smaller bench work cart, etc. It was cleaned, lubed and repainted. It has some welding splatter around the body, wear marks on the spindle nose, handle, and top slide, jaw towers, and dented back cap, none of which are an issue. All I would consider normal usage over 68 years. Operation is smooth, it locks down nicely with its original acorn nuts. Guys, the jaws should be a major importance on all vise purchases. I've replace the original laws with new serrated ones and you will ... morealso get the original ones with I have machined smooth. Take into consideration that this is not a big vise and should be used for light, and light/medium work. With proper use, it will turn 100 years without any problems. Please don't miss this auction. So you need a vise? These days. A vise is something that MUST be bought second hand. THERE ARE NO MORE"GOOD" VISES BEING MADE TODAY. That's a pretty general statement. But it's also the reality of our sad Walmart priced/disposable society. Except for a scant few like Yost, the vises being manufacturer today are 99% Chinese made. Pot metal junk. Even the once mighty Wilton has ruined their reputation with Chinese sourced pot metal vises sold at Lowes. Its NOT a Wilton- at least not the ones you remember. I have pics of"new" Wiltons broken in half after a few uses. Even their pro line is nowhere close ... moreto ones made in the 70's back. A quick google search will uncover DOZENS of"new" Wilton bullet vises with mounting feet broken off. The quality of the metal isn't there any more. As a mechanic my world revolves around impact wrenches and bench vises- This is a beautiful vise. In fact. This is my favorite Wilton model/size of all time. Jaws are 4" and it has both a swivel base and anvil back. It was found in a workshop that had been closed since the late 70's. It looks like it hasn't seen much use. Add a new coat of paint or put it to work as is. I haven't cleaned or painted the vise- sweat equity" keeps the prices low. Vises are one of my specialties. THIS is a good one folks. I try to list the very best Wiltons I can find. Some light cleaning and a fresh coat of Hammerite light blue spray paint and it will look like a million bucks. The 4" jaws are in excellent shape. Sharp facets on each with no scars or damage. This would be a great vise for the bench downstairs or out in the garage. HUGE vises are great too. But NOT FOR EVERY JOB. Wilton 2" baby vise, smallest of the bullet vises) mounted on the Wilton Power Arm Jr. These are great for machinists, gunsmiths, model makers, artists, carvers, fly tiers, and this one is in excellent condition. It is mounted on a convenient aluminum plate for stability and portability. Date marked 6/30/64. So this was made in 64' or 59' The Powerarm Jr. locks the vice firmly in any position.

Large Wilton Vise Swivels 4 7/16" Jaws Opens over 8 inches Very Nice Little use
Here is an old Wilton Vise in very nice working condition. All levers turn easily and smoothly. Most of the surface rust that you see is from the old lead paint that has flaked. No cracks. Breaks or repairs. The stationary side has the# 101162 and the side that slides out is# 101163 and under it is a# E2780. There is a thin piece of metal that is inlaid(glued) into the side of the vise. I peeled it off just out of curiousity to see what was behind it-see pic- I guest it was for putting your own ID on it. UNFORTUNATELY while I was taking pictures the small piece fell to the ground and one of my dogs grabbed it and ran. I have not been able to find it but If I should I will update my description. AS of now the piece is missing. In no way does this effect the integrity of the vise. It looked like just a thin piece of aluminum or steel. The rusted ... morelead paint makes this vise look really old and used but in reality it hasn't seen much use at all. Strip it down and repaint it and it will be as good as new. When it closes it seals up nicely. No dents in the Jaws and it closes evenly and tightly. The rubber cushions on the tightening bar still have original paint and are in like new condition. I have no way to weigh this but I would imagine it weighs around 80 to 100 lbs. The Jaws are 4 7/16 inches wide and it opens to almost 9 inches before loosing contact. Pick up would be greatly preferred but I will ship with UPS if necessary. I will charge $100 for shipping and refund any overcharge.

Hi. Up for bid is a nice Vintage Wilton Bullet Vise 4" inch Jaws Swivel Base. There are a few numbers on the side that read K780 and 101158 with an"S" marking above. Used, not abused, but does have a few nicks and scratches from use- works 100% as manufacture intended. Also includes a pair of removable aluminum insert jaws. Original jaws look really good. Wilton 4 In Clamp Base Very Nice 100-4" 140 102.
Has a bent handle. Very nice little vice great for at home on the work bench to set it up and move it if you have too very easily. Works very smooth and is tight not much use. Jaws are like new and are replaceable. Bottom swivels. Opens to about 2 1/2 in. Free us shipping. Don't like the price hit the make offer button.
