Here's a nice little Columbian(USA Made) 3-1/2" bench vise. Vise is in good shape. However jaws could use re-working or replacement or could be used as-is. Unfortunately someone did some welding on their work piece in the vise and there's some spatter on the vise. I have not cleaned it up aside from wiping down the screw mechanism and the exterior surfaces. If you wanted this pretty-I could do that-but not for this price. As the“A M Co. label predates the company name change to“Athol Machine& Foundry Co. that occurred in 1930. This is a nice piece of Athol vise history. This vise is unusual in that the rear jaw is the dynamic jaw that moves in and out. While the front jaw is the fixed, static jaw. This feature is seen in some small clamp on vises as well. In use it would be secured to a surface by the four holes seen in the photo, and/or by sliding square head bolts into the bottom groove and securing them through the surface. This vise has 3.5 inch jaws that are in great shape. It moves easily in and out. It has obviously been used. And over time has developed a nice aged patina.
