You are bidding on a vintage No. 5? Palmgren machinists drill press vise. It is approximately 4 3/4" overall with the jaws closed and 1 13/16" tall at the jaws. The jaws are approximately 1 1/2" wide x 1" deep x 1 5/8" full open. I believe this is a No. 5 from checking the dimensions against some other No. 5 vises. It looks to be in very good used condition in my opinion. The bottom has writing etched into it. There are a few minor scratches dings. Dents, finger prints and stains. The close-up pictures are the best description of the overall condition, but if more information is required please e-mail prior to bidding. The jaws are 2 1/2" wide and it opens up to 2 9/16" Comes in it's original box with paperwork. I had to put a new piece of tape around the box to keep it together and the paperwork looks like something was munching on it. The paperwork still has some readable parts left. This is a old Palmgren machinist/drill press vice. Everything moves freely. But it is missing the handle. I insert a screwdriver through in hole shown and it can be used to open and close the vise.
