HP 5340A Frequency Counter 10Hz-18GHz, Option 001
The counter is fully functional as much as I can test. Both input ports work. Counts up to 2GHz. Which is as high as I can go. I used it a few years ago over 10-12GHz but don't have the generator any more. The 001 option is an oven stabilized reference. Which also is working. I do not have a NIST standard so it may be a few PPM off. The only electrical issue I can find is that one of the decimal point drivers has a little leakage which makes it light up slightly. I tried to bring it out in the photo. The DP to the left of the 2 is correct. The one to the left of the 3 is slightly illuminated. Not a big deal. But should be noted. Inside it is clean. For the week of June 9 only. Will ship no earlier than June 16.

It was not available as a kit. It is also identical to the Weston model 1254 counter and was likely manufactured by them, as at the time both Heath and Weston were owned by Schlumberger and Heath appropriated several Weston items for their own inventory. They even copied the Weston tube tester and sold it as the Heath TT-1 kit! The SM-110B is identical to the SM-100C. Except that the 600 MHz prescaler input was omitted. It shares the same counting circuits and TXCO oscillator as the 600C for which Heath claimed"The SM-110C is an FCC type approved frequency measurement instrument for AM and FM standard transmission. Having the identical ... morecircuits, the 600B should meet this criterion also. It is shown in the first two photos measuring the output of my HP 8656B signal generator, first on the 200 MHz input and then on the 50 MHz high impedance input.
