Hi there, I bought this vintage Frequency Counter. Along with 4 other similar units that I have listed separately, from a collector of old electronics equipment. He had bought it many years ago, and could not tell me if the instrument works or not. I don’t know anything about this kind of Counter myself, so I’m selling it AS IS. However, I did plug it in an outlet, and all the numbers on the display lit up. The Model is FC45, manufactured by Sencore. All the knobs and switches seem to be working properly. The display is in perfect condition, with no cracks or scratches. Judging by the weight of the unit(8 pounds) all the interior electronics should be intact. Hewlett-Packard Vintage Model 521AR Frequency Counter
Up for auction is this very interesting piece of vintage test equipment: a Hewlett-Packard Model 521AR Frequency Counter(the"R" is to denote the rack-mount cabinet configuration) The display on this unit is unique. With a set of 4"stacks" of the numbers 0 through 9, with a neon light bulb behind each digit. In operation the digits in each stack will very rapidly count up, then when the reading is complete one digit in each column will stay illuminated, indicating the frequency. Very cool! I shot a brief video of the unit in operation. Which can be viewed at: The manual says the frequency range is up to 220 KHz with"option 03" whatever that is. I'm sure it describes what"option 03" is somewhere in the manual. But I didn't see it. Max frequency without this mysterious option is 120 KHz. This is ... morea vacuum-tube powered counter. Not sure when the unit was built. But the printing date on the manual is 1967(although the copyright date is 1959) and I saw references to this model on the internet as early as 1955. So I guess the build date could be anytime from 1955 through the late'60's) Included are the counter itself, an input cable with the bnc connector on one end and a couple of alligator clips on the other end, and the manual, which contains operating instructions as well as maintenance procedures, circuit descriptions, and schematic diagrams of the unit. The unit appears to be fully operational(with one minor exception noted below) When I touched the input the display correctly read the 60 Hz AC in the room that my body was acting as an"antenna" for. And when I hooked it up to a frequency generator and slowly increased the frequency the counter displayed the frequency as approximately indicated on the generator's dial. The one operational issue is that the neon bulb behind the"5" digit on the left-most column does not illuminate. Sencore Model FC71 Frequency Counter 10 Hz- 1 Ghz I picked up a few of these at an auction. They are great counters with LCD readout and both 50 ohm and 1 megohm inputs. As you can see from the photo it is working well with a signal generated by my HP signal generator at 820 Mhz. The agency that auctioned these removed all of the battery packs and didn't even bother to put the battery pack covers back on. You can see from one of the photos that the battery pack cover is missing. They also did not include the power packs or manuals so I had to improvise and locate a power pack that would work. Takes 12 VDC at about 3/4 of an amp. The power pack in the photo will be included. These are great counters and I'm keeping one for myself!

When I took the back off, a corner piece broke off. Other than that, it looks in good shape. Battery things are corroded or anything. Optoelectronics frequency counter model 8030 works great FREE shipping
Hello, You are bidding on a used Optoelectronics frequency counter model 8030. Power supply, and two test leads. I have used this counter for the last couple of years to align transceiver's. And it works great. The frequency counter is a little old, and should probably be sent in for calibration. I am listing it with a low start price, and low reserve because I cannot guarantee the counter is 100% accurate. It always worked great for me, and the owners of the radios I aligned using this counter always said their frequency's were spot on. I believe I have a manual somewhere.
