I bought this item as part of a bundle and as it isn't required it's back for sale. I'm selling it as'For parts or not working' although I believe it does actually work. But I've not been able to give it a full test. It has been rack mounted at some point as the equipment feet and carrying handle have been removed, however I'm sure some plastic case feet will be easy enough to source. It does have a power lead but no protective case or test leads. I'd prefer it collected but will pack substantially and post at extra cost if needed. Racal-Dana 1992 1.3 GHz Nanosecond Universal Counter w/OCXO option 04E
Racal-Dana 1.3GHz Universal Counter This is a super-accurate counter in very good working and cosmetic condition. This counter has the coveted 04E(ultra-high stability) oven-oscillator timebase. I calibrated it within the last year against a Trimble Thunderbolt GPS disciplined reference. It is shown in the picture counting the output of a cheap(non-oven) 10MHz signal generator(which was surprisingly accurate to within 4Hz! But the counter itself is accurate well below 1Hz. The buttons on this unit are in nice condition and work and feel good. The unit has a solid, all metal enclosure. The top has a couple of small dings(shown in the picture) which do not affect the functionality. All feet and the stand/carry handle are included. For sale is one Racal-Dana 1992 Frequency Counter. Unit is in excellent shape with some sticker residue. And scratches, but otherwise amazing quality considering the age of the unit. All buttons work, and free like new(not the lifeless buttons you find on many Racal-Dana units of this age) Calibration was last done by the US Air Force in 2009(picture included) and from the picture you can see it appears to be about 2.8Hz out(not bad) on my 10Mhz source(GPSDO) Unit has options 04T(TCXO) and Option 55(GPIB/RS-488) Please let me know if you have any questions. All momentary switches are good and have a nice tactile feel. Unit is clean and in good shape. Power cable is included. Nothing else included. I have attached pictures of an Agilent counter and signal generator to demonstrate the error displayed by the Racal Dana counter. The Agilent frequency counter has a GPS controlled clock with the error shown in the lower left corner of the monitor screen. Since the Agilent counter has a very low error it can be compared to the Racal Dana counter that is operating on its own timebase. Last calibration info is not available.
