Here we have a lot of 3 vintage counters. Two of these counters are Veeder-Root. The third counter does not have any writing or identifying information. The round Veeder-Root Hand Talley Counter states Patented August 10, 1916 and includes the writing: Veeder-Root Inc. Hartford Conn U.S.A" This counter counts up to 4 digits. The long Veeder-Root Clutch Speed Counter reads"The Veeder MFG Co. Patented November 5, 1907, Hartford Conn U.S.A" This is also a 4 digit counter. VINTAGE VEEDER-ROOT MECHANICAL METER REGISTER COUNTER ~ 3 DIGITS ~ C-147253-100 It is in good used condition. All 3 of the digit counter wheels turn together when the knob is turned by hand. The inside of the cover is marked 12 30 64(each number in a circle) which I think must be the manufacture date code. It is also marked"VR" in a circle. X-76160-1 and TD-15782. The manufacturer tag plate on one end says: VEEDER- ROOT INC. MADE IN HARTFORD. CONN. U.S.A. VINTAGE VEEDER-ROOT DANAHER SERIES 7283 5 DIGIT HIGH SPEED RESET COUNTER 728315-002 It is pre-owned and I assume it was used on a machine at some point in the past. It appears to be in very clean condition. But I do not have any way to test it for proper functionality so it is being sold in as-is unknown working condition. I do not know what type of machine it would have been used on but I am guessing it would have been for a textile machine(possibly a loom) The reset mechanism works and resets all wheels to their zero position. The measuring wheel is 3-3/4" diameter(1 foot circumference) and is a rubber surface. It is marked"PATENTED MADE IN SWITZERLAND" on the base plate below the manufacturer tag. I think this is an early model of the Series 7283 High Speed Predetermining Reset Mechanical/Electric Counter because it has ... moregeared wheels to preset the digits instead of the"push button" type that I found at the danaherspecialtyproducts.com website. It is also marked 009431 and INCA 15.8491 on the bottom of the base. The small front brown plastic cover is stamped 10 Amp.250Va.c.CSA and 5 Amp.380Va.c.SEV with a 1 and 2 marking. Any questions. But I do not have any way to test it electrically. There is some light pitting and rust dots on the reset handle. I do not know what type of machine it would have been used on. When the reset handle is operated. The"tens" wheel resets to the"1" not zero) so it will need an adjustment which I do not know how to do.
