Systron Donner Model 6054B Frequency Counter 20HZ to 24GHZ
I have owned this counter for about 12 years. And it spent most of its life with me on the shelf. I deal with frequencies up to 490mhz and this counter was really too much for me. I took it off of the shelf, plugged it in, and it came back working right away. The only thing I did to it was put a little tuner cleaner on the switches. It seems to work fine, as far as I can tell, but I am not really familiar with any frequencies above 490 mhz. I do have an HP83832B, which will genrate a signal up to 20ghz. In the pictures I show the generator at a UHF frequency and at a high microwave frequency, to show you that it seems to work fine. The frequencies of both units do not match, so I would say that the osicllator or generator are a little off freq, but I am not sure of which. I did not adjust the frequency of the counter(the adjustment is no ... morethe back, but I did not want to change it unless I was sure of the base I was using) This is a heavy item and I will pack it well. I have done my best to be totally honest as to the. Condition of this unit. And I will not accept any returns. To the best of my knowledge, it is working, and I will assume it will work when you get it. But, I might warn you, that this unit has some years on it and could have problems in the future. It seems to be built very well and the circuit boards look easy to work on. The power supply is isolated and there is plenty of room to see all the components and do any repairs in the future. I talk negatively only as a disclamer. It certainly seems to be a good unit.

I'm losing about 2/3 of my workshop to the remodeling of our basement. No need to ask who idea this was. So. I'm having to sell off my collection of nice working HP test equipment. For you consideration is my very nice 5381A 80MHz counter. The picture shows it measuring the crystal oscillator frequency in my Kanga US 6 meter ham converter. The inaccuracy you see is the crystal itself. Not the counter. I will guarantee frequency accuracy at 43MHz. I wish I had a higher frequency crystal that I could demonstrate the accuracy. If you look at other seller's 5381s you'll see the usual" I don't know how to check it further" But they seem to think it's worth $200. Need NIST trackable certification for an additional $200? But even though rated at 125 MHz, counts fine to 140+ MHz with no problem. Contains a very high spec Sultzer designed/ Tracor ovened frequency standard, which still has remarkable retrace after long periods of power down. Fan has been cleaned/ relubricated and one nixie tube replaced, with a spare supplied as well. Calibrated against the lab gps frequency standard, in good working order and should be good for years of service. This counter shows Racal Electronics at the peak of their game. Circa 1974, an all discrete component design with not an ic in sight. RADIO SHACK FREQUENCY COUNTER PROJECT BOARD FULLY ASSEMBLED
WOW! This auction is for ONE Radio Shack Model 277-111 Frequency Counter Project Board fully assembled and working! Built from an NOS PC board. These project boards were once sold at Radio Shack back in the late 1970's and 1980's. Most people who bought these Project Boards purchased the needed components over time therefore most of these projects were never completed. Often these boards were built by amateurs who could not solder well and the project never worked. This unit has been professionally assembled on a steel frame and includes all of the features offered by this project. All of the chips are socketed in machine-tool sockets. The manual calls for the use of the 74LS47 BCD-to-7-Segment Decoder Driver chip. Instead of using this chip I used the more advanced 74LS247. The two chips are pin-for-pin the same and functionally ... moreidentical except the-247 lights up the"A" segment when displaying the number"6" and the"D" segment when displaying the number"9" Making the display more legible. I also installed Molex connectors on all wires that go from the chassis to the PCB making it easy to remove the PCB from the steel frame. Originally this project calls for using the Radio Shack Universal Display Board to mount the digital displays. Since this board is hard to find. I made my own PCB. Works the same and is custom wired to support the large 1 inch displays. There is one thing you should know however. I did not have the required 1.9 MHz crystal so I installed a 2 MHz crystal. The unit works but is off by a tad. This can be remedied by replacing the 2MHz crystal with the 1.9 MHz crystal specified in the manual. You can also change the timebase to use the 60Hz option but it does not work as good and is unstable at times. Other than that. It is fully functional and works perfectly. Probe is NOT included. Heath Schlumberger Model SM-110A 200MHz Frequency Counter This is a nice early 1970's vintage piece of quality test equipment. Which has been tested and is in working order. When I first powered it up, one of the digits in the LED display took about a minute to"warm up" before it came on, but it was working just fine after that, as you can see in the photos above. Despite the fact that this is a Heath product. It was factory assembled and NOT a kit, so there should be no worries about substandard workmanship or bad soldering. This counter was last calibrated in 1974 at the factory, but it was tracking the input frequency from one of my employer's brand new HP signal generators pretty closely when I was testing it. It went through a few calibrations, and seemed to behave normal. The LCD display is clear and the red LED light seems fine. It indicates a Nickel Cadmium battery inside. But it probably needs to be charged. Included(although not original) is a 9V power adapter which allows it to power on. You can probably find more information online at the Optoelectronics website.
