The counter is fully functional as much as I can test. Both input ports work. Counts up to 2GHz. Which is as high as I can go. I used it a few years ago over 10-12GHz but don't have the generator any more. The 001 option is an oven stabilized reference. Which also is working. I do not have a NIST standard so it may be a few PPM off. The only electrical issue I can find is that one of the decimal point drivers has a little leakage which makes it light up slightly. This unit has a few options installed: 7(520MHz Prescaler) 15 IEEE-488 Interface, and 16(Rear Panel Inputs) This item is in good used condition. It shows some marks from use and storage. However there are no major damages to the unit, and no damages that affect its operation. The SEP-COM switch that is between the A& B input channels is sticky and difficult to slide and may need to be replaced. Also, whomever performed the last calibration on this unit managed to put everything back in the chassis backwards, so the handle does not line up with the feet to make a stable stand. Optoelectronics Scout handheld frequency counter
I am liquidating the estate of W4CBH and this is part of his Ham radio equipment. It is a VHF-UHF frequency counter. I tested it next to a handie talkie and it works fine. I don't know how high in Freq. it goes but I know it goes to at least 500 MHZ.In the picture it is hooked up to an external power source. I kept it hooked up to a power source(9-12VDC) and the internal ni-cad batteries did retain power. It runs off of 4 AA ni-cads.

Picked this up at a local estate sale and really know nothing about it. Here is what I can tell you. I am unable to test it for its intended use but I can tell you have powers on fine. It will need a detailed cleaning as it is rather dusty. There is a power cord included however it is not the original one for it but seems to function perfectly. There is one small knob that seems to have some damage however in researching this I did not see this piece on other models? At any rate I tried to highlighted in the last picture so please examine it closely. No leads or anything of that nature included with the exception of the power cord. Really don't know what else I can tell you but questions are welcome.
