Dayton, Ohio, Type 2520B, That is in excellant condition, undamaged and shows almost no signs of use, that is presently wired for use on 120 Vac 50/60 Hz(0-140 VAC output) that could be used on 240 Vac(0-280 VAC Output, at 10 amperes, either way. It could be placed between the line and the primary of the high voltage transformer of a maximum legal input ham amplifier, in order to adjust the plate voltage, or used to slowly bring up vintage tube gear. Type 20L-3Y with 120-VOLTS INPUT. 0-140-VOLTS OUTPUT@ 3-AMPS, 0.42-KVA. My understanding is that these are 2 of a 3 part variac configuration. Hence the 3Y in the type number. It appears these two transformers were either ganged together with a third variac that is not included. All windings check good continuity except the center tap on the one unit having the nameplate on it. However, I have not tested this item under any load. Please bid accordingly. For sale is a Vintage General Radio Company 5 amp Variac Type 200-C. It operates from 0-130 volts. I have been told the original owner purchased this in the 1940's. I am the second owner. It has been tested and is functioning as it should. It is 19" rack-mountable and features a vintage Westinghouse volt meter. There are four outlets on the front of this unit. It is in very good cosmetic condition for its age. There is some scratches on the front of the faceplate and some scoring from being rack mounted. Shipping.
