ITEM DESCRIPTION: Used. Fair condition. Case has dents and scratches. Due to the dented case, the dial is hard to turn as it hits the dented casing. With the casing removed, dial turns properly. Output of transformer was measured with volt meter. Zero on dial does not equal 0. Volt Meter showed 3VAC when dial is at 0 position. Dial needs to be removed and put on in correct position. Otherwise unit works and outputs up to 141.7VAC. Appears to work fine. But we are not trained electricians and can only do basic voltage test with volt meter. Vintage General Radio Co Variac Autotransformer* This vintage General Radio Company transformer is in near-mint condition. Not sure how to test this one but mechanically it is working fine. With the knob turning as it should with a little resistance as expected(let me know how to properly test it and I will do that for you) It's a little heavy- almost 4 lbs, so will ship usps standard shipping based on your location. Used three phase Variac from General Radio. Input 120VAC. 60Hz, Output is 6 amps per phase. Can be wire to produce a 20V buck to provide a 0-140VAC output. Includes knob and dial plate. Has some minor blemishes. But turns smooth. See pictures for condition. Tested with a 150W load on each phase and worked great. No noted dead spots and nice. Smooth ramping of voltage.
