The pictures tell the story. This Technipower W5MT3A autotransformer or"variac" is in excellent condition. It has been fully tested and works flawlessly with very good calibration of both meters. The only flaws are slight shelf wear on the feet and a smudge or two that I didn't bother to scrub too vigorously but otherwise it's pretty much good as new. Save for the fact that I don't have the original packaging. Please check my feedback and bid with confidence that you're dealing with a straight shooter. Buyer pays actual shipping costs for 15 pounds from zip code 95501. There will be no extra handling fee but trust that the unit will be very well packed. Calrad Variac, Variable Output Tranformer, Metered 0-150V with Dual 2.7A Outputs
Here's a vintage Calrad VC6 metered variac. This unit will give you variable voltage. 0- 150V, from a standard 110v outlet. The unit has two outlets on the back, both are labeled 2.7A. It has a nice analog 0-150v meter on the front, an on/off switch, an overload protection fuse, and a red power indicator bulb. The bulb is burned out(confirmed with ohm meter) and I don't have a spare of this type in my parts bin. I've plugged the unit up and turned the knob up/down and the meter responds accordingly. I ran a couple of oscilloscopes off the unit while set at 110v. The unit is on the heavy side. Lots of copper inside I'm guessing, so the shipping is going to run $28 to any of the lower 48.
