Allen-Bradley AB 100k Potentiometer Set 2 Patent Pending Pots 1930s- Solidshaft

Very early model and stamped“Patent Pending” They were originally on a pre-WWII Rickenbacher(Now Spelled Rickenbacker) Lapsteel guitar. The shafts appear to have been crudely shortened as pictured. The terminals exist except for the 3 rd terminal on one of the pots. Which has broken off but still has a little contact surface left. They are still functional and measure 120k and 138k ohms respectively. We do not know the taper type of each but suspect that at least one(with CR stamped) is an Audio Taper. These were common on antique radios but occasionally found their way into early electric instruments. A very unique and hard to find item for various restorations- make us an offer!

I have decided to list some sets for the greater good! They are perfect for placing volume control in the threaded stand holes of Astatic JT-30's. Shure bullets(like the 520 and 707A) and the Electro-Voice 605/ 606 shells. The housing is 5/8" in diameter and the pot only needs about a 3/4" x 3/4" area to fit- great for those tight spaces. Each purchase comes with: CTS linear taper pot- 250K ohm for dynamic and Shure controlled reluctance/ magnetic elements. Note: If you need a 1 Meg for crystal/ ceramic elements. See my other auctions. lock washer and nut knurled aluminum knob w/ double set screws and marker. Technical Details: Shaft: 1/8" ... morewide& 1" long. Threaded portion extends 1/4" and needs 1/4" clearance hole. The knurled aluminum knob a compact 1/2 wide by 5/8- just the right size to fit into the standard 5/8 threaded mounting holes. Alps black beuty pot's are very rare seen for sale and they have stop producing those black beuty's long time ago.This pot is used but is fully tested and working as it should. Chan ell A(88.4 Kohm) C hanell B(87.3 Kohm) tested with my multimeter and guaranteed.As you can see from the pictures the shaft is complete with no cut for shorting.It use to be my test volume pot and a reference one where all the other pot's had to be judged.The sound of this pot is simply awesome.
