Powerstat Luxtrol Variac AC 50 Amps 3 Phase Variable Transformer *MC*
Up for auction today is a 3 phase Variac 1 part Powerstat and 2 parts Luxtrol. This is a 50 amp variable transformer. The top unit is the Powerstat. We fully tested these and there are no dead spots in any of the 3 units. They all measured between 120.2-120.6 VAC at full throttle. On the bottom unit you can see a spot where a short has occured before(as pictured) This short did not damage the variac as it is in good working condition. The whole units dimensions are 18X14X31. I don't know the Brand. I used Variac in the Title for" SEARCH" purposes only. But this does adjust the voltage output from 0 to 120 volts AC Great for Tube Radios that need a slow start for testing purposes when a renovation is completed. I DO NOT HAVE THE SPECS- IT WOULD NEED TO BE TAKEN APART This is not usable for Hand Tools or large motors. Use at your own risk. Also a Lamp testing receptacle to power up a radio without destroying the Power Transformer. Please look at the video below. Choose a lamp of a wattage size that is equal to or slightly higher than the radio's power consumption. If you can't determine the power consumption look at the chart in the pictures above. Staco Variable AC Transformer. Works nicely. I bought for a project. But went a different direction with the components I used. It has a few dings and scratches but is perfectly functional.
