It has been well used but all the elements are tight and work with precision. I originally obtained it as a beekeeper for pollen identification. To those with an enquiring mind. It open up a whole new world. The microscope has 4 object lenses on the carousel. Vickers 5x magnification/0.15. It has a triple objective turret. With objective markings of 2.5x, 3.5x, and 10x(on the longest objective) Multiplying the eyepiece magnifications by the objective designations yields: 17.5x, 24.5, and 70x. It is supplied. As are all Greenough stereomicroscopes, with dual porro prisms. The Greenough microscope is named after its American inventor Horatio Saltonstall Greenough. This microscope.
