A boxed PART set of technical drawing instruments. As shown. This is one of A G Thornton's"Jaywess" sets. Made in the 1950s or thereabouts. As you can see. There is one empty slot- I do not know what was originally there. This set has clearly seen good service. And the box is not pristine, but the contents look rather nice. Condition: Good used condition. Please note: the set is INCOMPLETE. There is one item missing. As you can see from the empty slot in the case. The remaining instruments appear to be in good order. With no obvious damaged, but I am not an expert, so please check the pictures carefully in case I have missed something. The box is intact and in good used condition. Though scuffed at the edges. Antique Brass 19th Century Scientific Engineering Technical Drawing Instruments
A small set of mahogany cased mid 19th century drawing instruments. C1850, case aprox. 19 X 10 cms. These are in retail condition, the case has been repaired where necessary and the instruments cleaned but not lacquered. Although these are unmarked they are of superior quality, the velvet lined case is not veneered but made from solid, well figured Cuban or Spanish timber. The set contains a good sector, scale rule and an ebony parallel, I think it is lacking a ruling pen. Excellent condition, minor knocks rubs and scratches. Free UK postage. Excellent Antique Set Technical Drawing Instruments, Complete Matching in Box
This is a complete matching set of antique brass and steel technical drawing instruments from the early 20th century. It is very neat with one plain pair of dividers. One large pair with three alternative accessories and a smaller pair with four alternative accessories as shown. There is also a dip pen and a wooden multi-function protractor/scale rule and a plastic protractor in the pocket in the box lid. The box and the instruments are all in very good condition with minimal signs of use and age. There is no maker's name apparent and the key to the box is missing although the lock is complete. The pocket in the lid for the protractor is slightly detached on one side although the hinged cover is in fine working order. There is a name engraved on the cartouche of the box top which is"R Grover" The box measures 7.5 x 4.75 x 2 ... moreinches deep.
