American Optical AO Spencer Stereo Dissecting Microscope in machine grey finish. Comes as pictured with rare and very hard-to-find stereo wide field 18X eyepieces catalog R747. The eyepieces are in exceptionally fine condition. This instrument is equipped with three objective lenses: 0.7X. 2X, and 6X. When in use with the 18X eyepieces, the total magnifications provided by this microscope are 12.6X, 36X, and 108X. There is a small chip in the glass stage which does not affect functionality; see photos. The photograph of the dime(4th photo in the series) was taken using a digital camera connected to this microscope and using the 0.7X objective lens. Up for auction is an American Optical AO Spencer Series 25 Stereo Microscope Base. The unit is in decent physical condition with some normal signs of wear including light scratches and dings. There is a small chip on the far outer part of the left ocular(the dark area on the right-inside of the ocular. Fourth photo) it seems like it wouldn't affect the performance and might not even be visible once eyepieces are installed. The glass base is gone and the elbow on the bottom is loose. No eyepieces included. This type of equipment is beyond our expertise so we may not have mentioned everything that is included or missing from the unit. ESTEN No. 20324 MICROSCOPE vintage metal 4/0.10, 10/0.25, 40/0.65 Japan 10x mono
Vintage Esten microscope. I think it is from the 1980's. Seems to be a hard model to find item. Model No. 20324 made in Japan. WF10x top periscope monocular. Has 3 objectives 4/0.10 and 10/0.25 and 40/0.65. I do not know much about microscopes but I could see thru the 4/0.10 and 10/0.25 objectives and they work. I probally do not know how to use the high magnification 40/0.65 since I could see thru it but not actually ID anything. The pair of adjuster knobs are work good. The pair of focus knobs turn fine. Has pinhole dial shutter type light filter underside of table. Has one holddown clamp on table. Made of metal for the frame. Size is about 12 x 4 1/2 x 7 inches. With added 2 inches of lift on the head. This is a sturdy heavy built microscope, it weighs about 8 pounds Age and use wear as would be expected. I do not see any damages nor ... morerepairs other than one missing table clamp. Small light finish loss. But still looks nice. See photos for cosmetic condition.
