Simpson 262 Multimeter with Manual and Leads
This auction is for an old Simpson 262 multimeter with the user's manual and leads plus a few extra lead sets that could be modified to work. It is in its original leather case. But the case is in bad shape. The meter works except for two scales(10 and 100 ohms) as best I can tell. One resistor is missing and the one beside it looks like it may be damaged(see last photo) I got this out of the trash where I worked and used it as a backup meter for a number of years. It reads resistance on the low and higher scales and AC voltage. I have not checked the other ranges. I had intended to get a schematic and replace the missing resisitor, but never got around to it. The bakelite case has wear, but is not cracked. I bought one of the 22.5 volt batteries at Battery World and it is included with the meter. A"D" size battery is also needed, ... morebut I do not have one of those to go with it. This is a decent old meter that just needs a minor repair. Thanks for looking!

METER IS IN GOOD SHAPE. NO PROBES INCLUDED. PICS BELOW ARE NOT OF THE LISTED METER. The miltary Fluke 27/FM is quite impressive inside and out. For mid 1980's technology this thing can hold it ground performance wise today. And is built like no other multimeter I have seen, both electronically and in structure- its a beast. The outside: Double thickness casing of standard Fluke DMM's. O ring seals, scratch and chemical resistant. Inside#1: Huge fuses. Runs on 9V battery with 800-1000 hour battery life. Main board shileded on both sides. Inside#2: With exception of SMD main processor. It's constructed with all top quality hole-through components for ease of replacement by both miltary personnel or us hobby morons. Superior protection devices and manual calibration pots. Inside#3: VERY clean underside board assembly. Assembly quality ... moredoesn't get better than this.
